If you’re considering signing up or switching to Netflix’s advertising tier in the US, you need to be aware that 155 titles are blocked, meaning they’re unavailable to watch. Below is the list of titles you won’t be able to stream on Netflix’s advertising tier as of February 2025.

“The Penguin and the Fisherman,” directed by David Schurmann, and co-written by Kristen Lazarain & Paulina Lagudi Ulrich and cinematography by Anthony Dod Mantle is based on the incredible true story of Joao Perei de Souza (Jean Reno), a Brazilian fisherman, who rescues a penguin (DinDim) covered in oil, near death and washed up on a remote island beach off of Brazil, far from his Patagonian home.
After DinDim returns to the wild, Joao is heartbroken — until a year later when DinDim returns. The story of their transcendent friendship and its impact on their little village is one for the ages.

Ryan Murphy’s Jeffrey Dahmer series “Monster” overpowered the Netflix top 10 rankings this week, taking the No. 1 spot with 196.2 million hours viewed following its Sept. 21 premiere. During the Sept. 19-Sept. 25 viewing window, the 10-episode limited series knocked “Cobra Kai” Season 5 off of its pedestal and down to the third spot.
Season 2 of “Fate: The Winx Saga” stayed at the No. 2 spot for the second week. The second installment of the fantasy series, which premiered on the streamer on Sept. 16, earned nearly 61 million hours viewed in its first full week of availability. The show’s first season also appeared at No. 5, more than a year after its Jan. 2021 release. It received 20.3 million hours watched during the measured window.
The fifth season of “Cobra Kai” dropped in viewership during its second full week on Netflix. The show raked in 38.1 million hours viewed –– a drastic fall from the previous week’s 95.6 million hours viewed.

Queen Elizabeth II’s Sept. 8 death sent viewers flocking to Netflix’s The Crown, with Season 1 of the Peter Morgan drama returning to the streamer’s Top 10 at #7 for the week of Sept. 5 – Sept. 11, which included the day the news of the Queen’s passing broke and the three days that followed. “Cobra Kai” is still kicking at the top of Netflix’s Top 10 list following its Season 5 premiere on Sept. 9. During the Sept. 12-Sept. 18 viewing window, the show scored 95.6 million hours viewed –– which is still a high note despite its drop from the prior week’s astounding 107 million hours watched.
Sliding in at No. 2 is Season 2 of “Fate: The Winx Saga.” The new installment debuted on the streaming service on Sept. 16, raking in 49 million hours watched in its first three days of availability.
