    Ripley Has Left the Building

Believe It or Not (Second Series) #11 (1932)

    ** (out of 4)

Leo Donnelly narrates this next-to-last entry in the original series. This time out we see a chicken who takes care of some pups after their mother was hit by a car. On a farm we see a duck that is teaching various chickens how to swim. Also on hand is a man who can attach some rope from his hair to a car and then pull it. Also on hand is a platypus, a man who uses sand to create art and one of the largest sculptures in the world done by an 82-year-old man. This here is a minor step up from the previous two shorts in the series but that's still not saying too much. This time Ripley can't even be seen but Donnelly is up to his typical tricks, which means he's telling bad jokes. Also on hand are some pretty bland stories. Seeing stuff like the chicken taking care of the pups is cute but it's really nothing ground breaking in terms of "believe it or not" material.
