It’s not often that we get such a fresh and intimate story of love and revenge.

Silver Haze is a hacked-away crosscut of life on the social fringes, a Molotov soap opera powered by committed performances and containing characters who are, to a man, sculpted with genuine depth and humanity.

Even if some of the finer points of the plot don’t make sense and the pacing starts and stops, the best way to enjoy Silver Haze is not to think about it, but to feel it.

Throughout it all, Knight is a compelling and fiercely persuasive performer.

Silver Haze is a sombre, thoughtful film about depression and what is (and isn’t) likely to promote emotional healing, performed with openness and honesty.
