Keith Richards’ Great Solo Debut, ‘Talk Is Cheap,’ Turns 30
Keith Richards at an event for Pirates des Caraïbes: La Fontaine de jouvence (2011)
During the mid Eighties, the relationship between Keith Richards and Mick Jagger hit a historic low, as Jagger tested solo waters. “Mick started to become unbearable.” Richards wrote in his 2010 memoir Life. You could hear the rift: 1983’s Undercover and 1986’s Dirty Work often sounded like lackluster attempts at keeping up with the times.

So in 1988, Richards took advantage of time off in the Stones’ schedule and went into the studio with a crack band he dubbed the X-Pensive Winos, including guitarist Waddy Wachtel, keyboard player Ivan Neville and drummer-producer Steve Jordan.

Keith Richards at an event for Pirates des Caraïbes: La Fontaine de jouvence (2011)
In 1986, relations between Keith Richards and Mick Jagger were at an all-time low. The Stones were on hold while Jagger toured as a solo act behind his 1987 album Primitive Cool, and the two traded endless insults in the press.

So Keith Richards decided to do something he’d always held off on: form his own solo band. The X-Pensive Winos featured an eclectic crew including Waddy Wachtel (Warren Zevon, the Everly Brothers), drummer Steve Jordan (who played with Richards in the Chuck Berry tribute concert film Hail! Hail! Rock & Roll...

Two More For Scream 4
Whenever a new cast member is announced for Wes Craven's new Scream sequel, we kind of assume they're due a knife in the ribs from Ghostface. If that's the case then the bodycount's going to be sizeable, since Anthony Anderson and Marielle Jaffe are now reportedly joining Scream 4's Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, David Arquette, Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, Rory Culkin, Lake Bell and Nico Tortorella. It's a high-profile gig for the early-career Jaffe, who so-far only has a role as one of the eight 'Aphrodite Girls' in Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief under her belt. She'll also shortly be seen in Doug Campbell's kidnap-drama Locked Away.Anderson is a more familiar face, from Transformers, The Departed, and Andrzej Bartkowiak's action 'trilogy' (Romeo Must Die, Exit Wounds, Cradle 2 the Grave). Most intriguingly (and amusingly) though, he's also a veteran of the Scream-ripping Scary Movie franchise,...

Lauren Graham Confirmed for Scream 4 and Two More Join the Cast
In a recent story confirming Lauren Graham's possible participation in Scream 4, we also learned the names of two more new cast members for Wes Craven's upcoming film: Anthony Anderson and Marielle Jaffe.

First things first, though. Graham appeared on "The Tonight Show" this week and told Jay she Will be in the film playing Emma Roberts' mom. Roberts, you may recall, is portraying Jill Kessler, “one of the primary heroines,” a cousin to Neve Campbell’s character in the series. You can watch the video below the info on Anderson and Jaffe, whose casting was revealed via a quick mention on EW.com.

Anderson previously appeared in Scary Movie 3 and 4 but is probably best known as Detective Kevin Bernard on "Law & Order" and Antwon Mitchell on "The Shield". Jaffee (pictured) only has two credits on IMDb: Locked Away (currently in post-production) and Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief.

Christine Conradt reveals the art of being a screenwriter
"Christine Conradt reveals the art of being a screenwriter"

by Michael Aaron Gallagher of StayFamous.Net

If you’ve ever found yourself lost in the on-screen magic of motion pictures, captivated by a dramatic action sequence, laughing out loud in a theater, or simply falling in love with a romantic line spoken by your favorite movie star, chances are you had to remind yourself that it’s all a fairytale, a world in which the actors merely play a part that has been written for them.

But where do those words come from and who imagines them?

Christine Conradt, screenwriter for the new film “Accused at Seventeen,” starring former Golden Globe nominee Cynthia Gibb, Nicole Gale Anderson (of the Disney Channel original series “Jonas”), and Reiley McClendon (“The Flyboys”), recently explained that the process of writing a screenplay for a film or television series is often a collaborative effort. Although...
