Mourners gathered on Wednesday for the private funeral of former One Direction member Liam Payne, who died in Argentina on Oct. 16 aged 31.

Fellow bandmates Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan were in attendance at the service, held at an undisclosed location not far from London, alongside family and close friends of the late singer. Malik decided to reschedule dates on his U.K. tour — set to start this week — so he could make the service. Simon Cowell, who first formed and signed the band on X Factor in 2010, as well as presenter James Corden, were also present.

Payne died following a third-floor balcony fall at his hotel in Buenos Aires last month, sustaining internal and external bleeding and multiple traumatic injuries.

While new Avengers films are certainly happening, there isnt currently a team. As a result, the universe appears to need new ensembles.

Avengers: Doomsday is set to debut Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, and I would love it to follow the storyline of Marvel Comics' Heroes Reborn: Doomsday. Heroes Reborn: Doomsday saw Doctor Doom become a hero in an effort to save an alternate world that had no superheroes. This storyline would lead into Avengers: Secret Wars perfectly, as Doctor Doom could cause an incursion between his world and Earth-616.

I know which Marvel Comics story would be perfect to bring Doctor Doom into the MCU in Marvel Studios' upcoming Avengers: Doomsday. This past weekend at San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios officially said goodbye to Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and hello to Avengers: Doomsday. 

This of course means that Marvel is likely done with Jonathan Majors' Kang the Conqueror as the season 2 finale of Loki allows the film studio to tie up the Kang/Tva storyline with no loose ends.

It seems TMZ has caught up with Majors in West Hollywood early yesterday morning, where they asked the actor about his feelings on being replaced by Robert Downey Jr.'s Victor von Doom in the next two Avengers films.

"Yeah, I'm heartbroken," said Majors in response to the question. "Of course [I'm heartbroken]. I love him, I love Kang. Doctor Doom is wicked, though."

The TMZ reporter then asked if Majors thought it was unfair that Robert Downey Jr. has a convicted felony charge for drug and weapon possessions on his rap sheet, whereas Majors only has a misdemeanor.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps made a big splash at San Diego Comic-Con 2024. With production set to kick off this week, director Matt Shakman opened up about how the hotly-anticipated superhero movie will pull inspiration from the space race.

While the previous three live-action Fantastic Four movies were all set in the year they were released, First Steps will have a retro-futurist 1960s setting, which will help differentiate the movie from its predecessors. While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Shakman teased how the movie's setting won't be the only thing pulled from that decade. "Our movie is set in the '60s, kind of a retro-future '60s, and it's a lot about the space race and about voyaging out there," Shakman said. "So First Steps is partly to do with that idea about exploration."

During the Marvel Studios panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Kevin Feige announced big news about the unofficially titled “Avengers 5.” We now know the film will be called “Avengers: Doomsday” and will still arrive on May 1, 2026. Additionally, the Russo Brothers are confirmed as the directors.

In an upcoming Fantastic Four issue, Reed Richards will open the Marvel equivalent of Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Hellmouth, leading to a spooky adventure for him and his brother-in-law, the Human Torch. The standalone story features Reed and Johnny Storm alone, facing curses and demons, with Marvel's synopsis shouting out Buffy the Vampire Slayer with a reference to the "Hellmouth.". Expect a blend of scares and laughs from Fantastic Four #26, as the issue does more than just include the horror aspects of Buffy, but also delivers a story reminiscent of its tone and style.

The Fabulous Four has a solid main story about friendship, but lacks depth in certain subplots and characters. The film successfully balances comedy with heartfelt moments, thanks to the cast's chemistry and genuine performances. Despite some underdeveloped elements, The Fabulous Four is an engaging and fun movie that explores the complexities of friendship.

The Fabulous Four (2024) is a very straightforward movie, though it doesnt get to the root of its problem until the end is upon us, and were lulled into the safety of a cheerful happy ending. The film contends with a strained friendship that fell apart because of a man and a lack of communication over hurt feelings. While I immediately wanted to sigh in frustration because of the reason, Ann Marie Allison and Jenna Millys script, while silly, doesnt treat it lightly. With a game and, dare I say, fabulous cast, the films at least more than its basic premise.

Acclaimed director David O. Russell has developed a reputation for alienating most of the actors in his movies. The director who once got into a fistfight with George Clooney on the set of “Three Kings” once also put Christopher Nolan in a headlock after Jude Law dropped out of Russell’s film I Heart Huckabees for a role offered by Christopher Nolan.

David O. Russell’s 2004 existential comedy I Heart Huckabees featured Dustin Hoffman and Lily Tomlin as a pair of “existential detectives” hired by various clients to explore the purpose of their pointless lives. The actors included Jude Law, among others.

Pre-production for the film was derailed after several cast members who were tapped to star in it dropped out. According to the New York Times, Gwyneth Paltrow was the first to drop out, followed by Jude Law.

Jessica Alba would love to be involved in a Dark Angel reboot. However, the final decision, if a revival ever gets the green light, is not up to her.

"Oh my goodness, would I do Dark Angel again? If [James Cameron] wanted to do Dark Angel, I would do Dark Angel again," Alba told Entertainment Tonight. "Yeah, 'cause he really has been a mentor of mine, and it would just be fun to work with him. We have that history together, and I admire him so much, so I think it would be fun. [Dark Angel] was ahead of its time, for sure. It would be really interesting just to see where Jim and [Charles H. Season 3 of What If...? may be the last, completing a trilogy and exploring the Multiverse further. Unexpected characters, possibly from X-Men and Fantastic Four, may join the series. The Watcher's story will reach a fulfilling conclusion, potentially making future seasons challenging.

The third season of Marvel's What If...? is potentially slated to be its last, but according to a Marvel Studios executive, it will feel like the completion of a trilogy. This season could also potentially tie into upcoming Marvel projects. There are also promises of exploring the Multiverse beyond what the first and second seasons of the Disney+ series explored. While a trailer for the third season was released back in January, there is no set release date for the next stage in the animated MCU outing.

On The Official Marvel Podcast, Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' Head of Streaming, proclaimed that season 3 of What If...? feels like the true culmination of a trilogy.

The McU's Fantastic Four movie will feature the Future Foundation in some form. Spider-Man's Future Foundation suit is distinct, clean, and sleek, featuring a white and black color scheme. Spider-Man could join the Future Foundation in the MCU after a tragic event involving the Human Torch, setting up my favorite Spider-Man suit.

After a new The Fantastic Four reveal, I am fairly sure that my favorite Spider-Man costume will come to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the coming years. Spider-Man is easily my favorite Marvel hero, and while Chris Evans' Captain America takes that spot in the MCU, Tom Holland's version of Peter Parker is a close second. As a big fan of the hero, I have a few select Spider-Man costumes from all over the comics, games, animation, and live-action that stand as my favorites. Holland's Spider-Man: No Way Home final suit is one of them.
