1923 star Robert Patrick has been sharing some candid comments for those who have made comments about his role in the popular Taylor Sheridan show. The former Terminator 2 actor plays Sheriff William McDowell in the Yellowstone prequel, but his appearance on the show has led to some people asking if he has been wearing a “fat suit” for the role. In a blunt response, Patrick explained why he is not the slimmed-down man many people are used to seeing.
In a video on TikTok, Patrick responded to several rude and, as it turns out, insensitive comments about his weight. In the video the actor said:
“Some people have made some comments about my appearance on 1923. They've actually asked me to my face 'Are you wearing a fat suit.' I said, ‘No, actually, I’m not wearing a fat suit. That’s me. That’s Robert Patrick.' So I...

Frank Grillo’s Espionage Thriller With a ‘Dark Knight’ Star Finds Surprise Success on a New Streamer
Not long after one of Frank Grillo’s more recent movies climbed to the top of streaming charts, he has another movie following the same model. Grillo stars alongside Michael Jai White (The Dark Knight) in Mr-9: Do or Die, the 2023 espionage thriller following an elite Bangladesh spy who teams up with a CIA operative to bring down an international crime syndicate. Mr-9: Do or Die began streaming on Starz not long ago, and the film has wasted no time becoming one of the more popular movies on the platform, sitting at #9 at the time of writing. Mr-9: Do or Die received an extremely limited theatrical release two years ago, grossing less than $500,000 globally, and the film earned a 61% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes.
Grillo has been acting for more than 30 years now, but his first major role came from starring alongside Liam Neeson in The Grey, the 2011 survival thriller from Joe Carnahan.

Another new ‘Yellowstone’ series is in the works according to reports, and NBCUniversal apparently thinks it should get the streaming rights.
A war between Paramount Global and NBCUniversal could be brewing that would put the intra-family conflicts of the Dutton clan to shame. The conflict may escalate thanks to a new spinoff of “Yellowstone,” the neo-Western drama which wrapped up a tumultuous five-season run in 2024. Unlike a previously announced series featuring “Yellowstone” characters, the new series is intended for the CBS broadcast network, but NBCU thinks it should still get access to streaming rights for any new shows spawned by the original.
Key Details: The new “Yellowstone” spinoff could reportedly focus on Kayce Dutton. **Another “Yellowstone” spinoff featuring Beth Dutton is already in the works. The deal licensing “Yellowstone“‘s streaming rights to Peacock reportedly ends in 2029. Sign Up $7.99+ / month peacocktv.com

You can take the man off the ranch, but you can't take the ranch out of the man. I think that's a saying. If not, it should be.
1883 and The Ranch star Sam Elliott is saddling up for the next season of Taylor Sheridan's new hit series, Landman.
According to a report from Puck News, Elliott has reportedly joined the Landman season 2 cast. Country Living also reported the news. The series will be, I believe, the second time Elliott and Sheridan have worked together. The report mentioned Elliott will be a main character, so we should be seeing a lot of him on screen in the new season.
Landman premiered on Paramount+ on Nov. 17, 2024, and ran for 10 episodes in its first season. The streamer picked up Landman for season 2 a few weeks ago. Now, we'll get to see Elliott alongside Billy Bob Thornton in the new season. It's...

At this point in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it often feels as if every actor known to man has worked on the franchise. Though that may not actually be true, the sheer amount of well-known faces who have shown up in, or at least offered their voice to, either an MCU movie or TV show (if not both) is pretty mammoth, extending across ages and generations. And while there are still a few notable standouts among the biggest film stars in the world, many big names pop up in even small parts.
As an example, consider one of the biggest action stars of the 1980s: Sylvester Stallone. The multi-hyphenate made himself into an icon through a few different franchises, most notably the "Rambo" and "Rocky" properties, the latter of which began with a film he wrote and starred in (and which eventually took home a Best Picture...

Today, Taylor Sheridan is known as the man at the center of a vast TV empire that stretches from "Yellowstone" and its many spin-offs to multiple other premium dramas which include "Lawmen: Bass Reeves," "Lioness," and "Tulsa King." Taylor Sheridan TV shows are almost too numerous to count at this point. But the man wasn't always the prolific writer and producer he's known as today. In fact, he started out on a very different career path in Hollywood.
Specifically, Sheridan started as an actor in the mid-90s, appearing in several small film and TV roles before landing the recurring role of Deputy Chief David Hale on "Sons of Anarchy." Prior to that he could be seen appearing in episodes of "Walker, Texas Ranger," "Veronica Mars," and "Star Trek: Enterprise," His acting background is part of the reason Sheridan cast himself as Travis Wheatley on "Yellowstone," though he also happened...

The third season of Taylor Sheridan's mob drama Tulsa King is expanding its cast with new additions. Just a couple of days ago, we learned the series would be returning for a third season, and now we're learning about two actors who will join the Sylvester Stallone-led series. Is Sylvester Stallone about to clash with a T-1000? I say this because Robert Patrick will join the cast of Tulsa King alongside Beau Knapp for Season 3 of the Taylor Sheridan-created series at Paramount+. Today’s announcement finds Patrick and Knapp landing series regular roles, with production already in motion.
Tulsa King follows New York mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi (Stallone) just after being released from prison after 25 years and unceremoniously exiled by his boss to set up shop in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Realizing that his mob family may not have his best interests in mind, Dwight slowly builds a “crew” from a group of unlikely characters to help him establish a new criminal empire in a place that might as well be another planet.

For two seasons, Dwight “The General” Manfredi’s character, played by Stallone, has gone through a series of cabal, and ending Season 2 with a cliffhanger was the right direction.

When season 2 of Tulsa King premiered on Paramount+ last September, series star Sylvester Stallone confirmed that a third season was already in the works. Now, The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Tulsa King season 3 is now in production, with filming taking place in Georgia and Oklahoma – and the series has a new showrunner! That showrunner is executive producer Dave Erickson, who also happens to be the showrunner on another series that was created by Tulsa King creator Taylor Sheridan, Mayor of Kingstown.
After writing the script for the pilot episode in just one day, Sheridan passed the showrunner duties on the first season of Tulsa King over to Terence Winter (Boardwalk Empire). Winter had said he would be stepping away from the series after that season, but he ended up coming back for the second season, splitting duties with producing director Craig Zisk, “Winter handling the writing side and Zisk handling the on-the-ground production duties.

Paramount+ has confirmed that Tulsa King will return for a third season. The crime drama, starring Sylvester Stallone and created by Taylor Sheridan, has already begun production in Atlanta and Oklahoma after months of casting.
Dave Erickson, previously a writer, executive producer, and showrunner on Mayor of Kingstown, has been named executive producer and showrunner for the upcoming season. His involvement was part of an overall deal with MTV Entertainment Studios, which produces Sheridan’s shows with 101 Studios.
Stallone, who plays Dwight “The General” Manfredi, secured a new contract in November, ensuring his involvement for at least two more seasons. This agreement set the stage for the series’ continuation, with a fourth season likely to follow.
The second season of Tulsa King, which concluded in November, set a Paramount+ record with 21.1 million global streaming views for its premiere. Alongside Landman and Lioness, it was among the top 10 U.S.

We knew it was coming but didn’t think it would take this long for official confirmation.
Paramount+ handed out a renewal on Tuesday for Tulsa King Season 3.
The pickup comes five months after Tulsa King Season 2’s thrilling conclusion, which left us with more questions than answers.

The renewal comes with an interesting announcement:
Tulsa King Season 3 is already in production.

It sounds like a deal was reached a while ago if filming is already underway, but it’s hard to tell why it was kept so under wraps.
We were concerned that the looming Paramount-Skydance merger could lead to some stunning cancellations on the streaming side of things.

Paramount+ has made it official that its hit series Tulsa King will return for a third season. The new season of the Taylor Sheridan crime drama starring Sylvester Stallone had been casting for months and started production earlier this week in Atlanta and Oklahoma.
Dave Erickson, writer, executive producer and showrunner on another Sheridan series for Paramount+, Mayor of Kingstown, is executive producer and showrunner on the new season. As Deadline reported in October, that possibility was part of the overall deal he signed with MTV Entertainment Studios, which produces all Sheridan shows with 101 Studios.
Season 3 of Tulsa King was cleared for takeoff after series star and executive producer Stallone closed a new deal in November to continue on the show for two more seasons with a major salary increase. Sylvester Stallone will return as Oklahoma crime boss Dwight “The General” Manfredi in a third season of Tulsa King.
Paramount+ announced that a new season has started production in Atlanta and Oklahoma on the streaming hit.
The renewal is hardly a surprise as the show’s second season return in September was Paramount+’s most-watched global premiere in the streamer’s history, and the show ranked as a Nielsen Top 10 streaming title throughout the rest of its sophomore season run.
For season three, executive producer Dave Erickson will take over as sole showrunner. Erikson is the showrunner of another Taylor Sheridan series, Mayor of Kingstown, and recently signed a multi-year overall deal with MTV Entertainment Studios.
The announcement lacks a couple key behind-the-scenes names from season two. On-again, off-again lead writer Terence Winter wasn’t included in the mix. Last season also brought aboard Craig Zisk to serve as lead director.

[Note: The below review includes detailed spoilers for the first three episodes of “1923” Season 2.]
How can Taylor Sheridan juggle it all?
That’s usually asked about the creator regarding how he’s conceived and aired eight scripted TV series in a little more than six years, starting with “Yellowstone” and including “Tulsa King,” “Mayor of Kingstown,” and “Lioness.” It also applies to his current and most sprawling series, “1923.” This show, a prequel to “Yellowstone,” currently balances at least seven storylines, all featuring characters on their own journeys in different settings and largely separated from one another. Managing just the set-building alone seems a Herculean task, even if several of the storylines are shot on Sheridan’s sprawling 6666 Ranch in Texas.
What’s impressive is how all of these are built around characters so compelling that you can’t wait to “check in” on what’s happening in the next storyline — and Sheridan always leaves you wanting more, with most storylines not taking...

Yellowstone fans now have the opportunity to experience the first movie creator Taylor Sheridan was credited with writing, as it was recently added to the Netflix library.
Since Yellowstone premiered in 2018, Taylor Sheridan has been rather busy writing TV shows, to say the least. As of writing, Sheridan has eight projects in active development, including spin-offs to Yellowstone and other series like Landman, Lioness, and Tulsa King.
However, before making a name for himself as a writer for those shows, Sheridan penned scripts for some extremely highly rated movies in the 2010s. One of those films, which was nominated for three Oscars, was finally added to Netflix.

With tension, raw performances, and rich world-building, it’s begging for spin-offs. So why hasn’t it happened yet? Maybe its streaming resurgence will change that.

Netflix’s latest hit isn’t a new blockbuster — it’s Sicario, the 2015 crime thriller that’s suddenly dominating the charts. Written by Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan, this intense drug war drama has climbed Netflix’s Top 10 nearly a decade after its release. Hey, good news for us TV watchers—Paramount+ just gave the green light to a second season of ‘Landman.’ If you haven’t caught it yet, it’s that gritty drama about the oil rigs and wildcat billionaires of West Texas, created by Taylor Sheridan. The guy knows how to hook us with a story, and this one’s no exception.
The first season wrapped up on January 12, and it’s been a hit. We’re talking huge numbers—Paramount says the premiere pulled in 35 million viewers worldwide. That’s the biggest debut they’ve had in two years. The finale also smashed records as the most-watched end to any series on the platform. No wonder they’re bringing it back.
So, what’s ‘Landman’ about? It digs into the lives of roughnecks working the rigs and the rich folks chasing fortunes in the oil game. It’s based on a podcast called Boomtown,...

Paramount+ has officially renewed Landman starring Oscar winner Billy Bob Thornton and co-created by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace. After being listed as one of the Top 10 Subscription Video on Demand (SVOD) original series for the fourth quarter of 2024, the renewal is not surprising.
Paramount+ reports that the fourth quarter Top 10 SVOD list marked the first time a streamer, other than Netflix, has earned three spots. Paramount+ was represented by Tulsa King (#4), Landman (#8), and Lioness (#9).
“Landman was one of the biggest shows of the year because of Taylor Sheridan’s unique ability to tap into the cultural zeitgeist, harnessing the Neo-Western themes of rugged individualism, ambition, and working-class struggles set against contemporary debates around energy, climate change and economic growth,” stated Chris McCarthy, President and CEO, Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios and Paramount Media Networks.
