    SLOW PACED BUT AWESOME

THE FEMALE PROTAGONISH IS SO ADORABLE I CAN'T GET MY EYES FROM HER AND I ALSO TOTAL RELATE TO THE MALE CHARACTER CAUSE SOMETIMES WE CANNOT KNOW WHATS OTHER ARE THINKING HE BEHAVES LIKE A TYPICAL BUT REAL AT SAME TIME I KINDA ENJOYED THIS ANIME STORY IS SLOW PACED BUT FULL OF COMEDY AND SOME SCENE ARE FULL OF WHOLESOMENESS. IT'S NOT OVER THE TOP BUT A FUN ONE TO WATCH I HOPE YOU ALSO LIKE THIS ANIME.

    Dorky but I love it

Spring Season 2022 is a social season filled with a host of romcom. Although not as popular as Kaguya and Komi, Aharen is for sure funny in its own unique way.

I still remembered how much I laughed watching the first episode. The situations where Raidou tried to comprehend Aharen was exaggerated in such dorky ways that got me cracked up. There was so much fun with such weird humor.

The subsequent episodes were more of less the same, but I still enjoyed them because I realized that I loved the bizarre humor of this show. It did get a bit old though. I don't think a newbie to romcom would laugh that much watching Aharen. So it depends on how much you can tolerate humor.

The romance aspect was unexpectedly good. It wasn't focused on as much until near the very end. Similar to the humor, the romance is not usual like other anime. It was both subtle and direct. This is mostly because of the odd dynamic between the two main characters. My critic here is that I would like one or 2 more episodes to build the romance further. It's adorable nonetheless tho.

The side characters is another dorky aspect of the show. Each has their own quirks. Although not all of them cracked me up, I was still amused at how weird they are.

Overall, the show is just as incomprehensible as Aharen, but I loved it. 8-8.5/10.

    Indecipherable

The characters Kanna and Raidou from the anime series Aharen-san Is Indecipherable provide an emotionally connected journey through awkward socialization and the wonders of human connections. With its cultural references, cognitive distortions, and self-love messages, the 12-episode series fosters a healthy and happy atmosphere with real friendships and genuine difficulties.

The show centers on the relationship between the timid Aharen and the socially awkward Raidou. The viewpoints of Raidou and other characters, such as a romantic instructor, Futaba, a shy childhood buddy, and typical students, are alternated throughout the anime. The show examines cliches, social anxiety, and the difficulties in negotiating relationships.

The anime's strength is its adherence to the framework; by exposing Aharen to different viewpoints, it fosters empathy and relatability. Based on actual events, the speech, actions, and gestures depict both the desirable and undesirable facets of each character. The story is strong and captivating because of its simplicity and impact.

Aharen-san is an anime that delves into the love and camaraderie shared by imperfect and uncomfortable people. It has a distinct voice, accessible themes, and humor. The show develops deep connections with its characters while examining cognitive errors. It's an engaging experience because of the distinct voice and endearing relationship.

A rom-com where the main characters just completely ignore the "rom" part and simply have as much fun as they can? Count me in.

TLDR: It's good. Uniquely generic. Comfy show. Do recommend.

Aharen-san wa Hakarenai is perhaps the most uniquely cliché anime you will ever see, so much so that I chose it to be the subject of my very first review.

There are two very common tropes when it comes to the female rom-com anime protagonist: overly expressive clingy tsundere and overly introverted dandere. Somehow, Aharen-san, our main girl, manages to be both and neither at once. Basically, she was once the clingy type but then people stayed away from her because she didn't understand personal boundaries, leading her to be the quiet introvert in the corner of the room (literally; she sits on the leftmost seat at the last row) so that people don't start hating her again...

    Until Raidou-kun comes in.

Raidou, our main boi, is desperate to make friends in high school because his intimidating, stoic demeanor drove people away during middle school. Luckily, his seatmate is just as unapproachable.

As they say, opposites attract, and we can clearly see it in this anime. People disliked Raidou-kun because he looks hostile and unapproachable, while people disliked Aharen-san because she gets too chummy and close. When these two seemingly boring personalities are seated beside each other, they suddenly become one of the most interestingly weird duos you've ever seen. Raidou doesn't care about her clinginess and Aharen doesn't care about his unemotional appearance (because that's how she looks, too).

With more chemistry than the periodic table, Raidou-kun tries his best to understand Aharen-san, comes up with ludicrous theories along the way, and tries to solve her problems with the most bizarre solutions, while Aharen just nonchalantly puts up with his absurdity. Despite their very unexpressive faces, you just know that they have fun with all the weird stuff they do. Not a single awkward moment is shared between these two, they're just so close like they've known each other for decades, which is a breath of fresh air when it comes to rom-coms.

She's exactly what he needed: a friend that is not afraid to approach him and hang out with him. He's exactly what she needed: a friend that doesn't mind her clinginess and instead helps her with her social problems. It can't get more perfect than this.

The nature of the main characters make this anime's comedy quite unique. They don't depend on the usual anime gags that involve excessive screaming and borderline physical abuse.

I just hoped the side characters were more interesting, but they're really not too important because they just enhance the story-telling of Raidou and Aharen's shenanigans.

It's a good show to watch if you're bored and just want some wholesomeness.

This series is far from being the best, but it will most certainly go down as one of my favorites. It's definitely underappreciated.

    A Beautiful Romantic Comedy

Aharen-san wa Hakarenai is a masterpiece! This romantic comedy is a warm hug for your soul. Aharen is the cutest girl ever - her expressions, quirks, and personality stole my heart. Raido is perfect for her; their dynamic is sweet and natural. The show balances humor and heart, making me laugh and feel all the feels. The supporting cast adds depth and warmth. I love how it explores friendship, love, and self-discovery. I'm begging for a season 2!!! 10/10, would watch again. If you haven't seen it, do yourself a favor and get on it. Trust me, you won't regret it. It's a beautiful anime package!
