In an interview with Zoom, Sonam and Shahid appeared to promote their film Mausam. Sonam was asked to comment on how Shahid Kapoor was known to be a ‘flirt’ and a charmer.

Sonam said, “No, he’s not like that. He’s the biggest bhondu in the world.” The Khoobsurat actress called him a “sweet, simple and wholesome guy.” Sonam also mentioned that Shahid isn’t complicated, which is the “best thing about him.”

Set in the same year of Sholay and the just released dreaded Emergency came this political fable that was far-reaching in its resonances. Aandhi is the story of Aarti Devi (Suchitra Sen), who arrives in her constituency to fight the elections with Chandra Sen(Om Shivpuri). The film seems to borrow sheaves from Mrs Indira Gandhi’s life story down to an overbearing politician-father (Rehman) whose ambitions on his daughter’s behalf destroy her marriage.

Director Nitin Kakkar’s Jawani Jaaneman which clocks five years today featured Saif Ali Khan trying to cope with the shock of discovering a daughter he never knew he had. The film offered the unique experience of watching Saif recreate his own 1990s hit, ‘Ole Ole’.

Saif Ali Khan sang and danced to success with the chartbuster ‘Jab bhi koi ladki dekhun mera dil diwana bole Ole Ole’ in the Akshay Kumar-Kajol-Saif starrer Yeh Dillagi in 1994. Mumbai, March 24 (Ians) Actress Ankita Lokhande went down memory lane and recalled her conversation with late Bollywood star and former beau Sushant Singh Rajput about his 2015 film ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshy’.

Talking to Ians about the world of cinema giving different learnings, producer Sandeep Singh said: “ ‘Mughal-e-Azam’, ‘Mother India’, ‘Do Bigha Zamin’, ‘Deewar’, ‘Mandi’, ‘Mausam’ and ‘Aandhi’ taught us.”

” ‘Satya’ gave us a different world and so did ‘Bandit Queen’, which gave us a completely different world (onscreen).”

Chiming into the conversation, Ankita said: “I just remembered something, when ‘Byomkesh Bakshy’ released, then Sushant used to say that today people wouldn’t understand the film, but there will be a time when people will understand this kind of cinema.”

‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!’ is directed and co-written by Dibakar Banerjee, which is based on the fictional detective Byomkesh Bakshi, created by the Bengali writer Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay.

She married Mansoor Ali Khan, the titular ‘Nawab of Pataudi and Bhopal’ in 1968. They have three children: Saif Ali Khan; Saba and Soha Ali Khan. The Indian cricketer passed away at the age of 70 in 2011.

The legendary actress has appeared on the finale episode of the quiz-based reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 15’ along with her granddaughter and actress Sara Ali Khan. The latter is the daughter of Saif, and Amrita Singh.

Only two out of four contestants from each of the teams, would be saved via public voting. In Saturday’s episode, team Shaan and team Mika would be performing therefore team Shaan went through the eliminations first. Akash and Ritu were saved from the eliminations and they have made it to the top 5 contestants of team Shaan! It was then time for team Mika’s eliminations. Tanvir and Passang were saved from the eliminations and they made it through to the top 5 contestants of team Mika. Sadly, Sana and Arpita were eliminated from team Shaan, while Harjot and Akshay were nominated from team Mika.

In a first of its kind producer Sheetal Talwar has tied up with the BBC to co-produce a film on the notorious Eichmann trials. Entitled The Eichmann Show the film is to be directed by BAFTA nominee Peter Andrew Williams, acclaimed writer-director on film and television. The Eichmaan trials chronicled on live television the Nazi war crimes of Otto Adolf Eichmann. This was the first ever trial as a reality-show on television. Talwar says the film version of the trials would be a never-before cinematic experience. "Eichmann Show is a film based on the Eichmann trials. After celebrating a decade in the film industry this year, Shahid Kapoor is gearing up for round two at the box office with upcoming releases Phata Poster Nikhla Hero this month and Rambo Rajkumar, which comes out in November. Mumbai, Sep 14: Producer Ramesh Taurani is confident that his film "Phata Poster Nikla Hero" starring his protege Shahid Kapoor, whom he launched with "Ishq Vishq" in 2003, will be the biggest film of the actor's life.
