Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (2010)

Goofs

Battlefield: Bad Company 2

Edit

Factual errors

Russian soldiers are shown using weapons such as the Carl Gustav recoiled weapon, which is not Russian standard-issue.
The Carl Gustav recoiled weapons found in the game are always erroneously called 'RPGs'.
Spent cartridges can be seen coming from the left-hand-side of some weapons. Most weapons are designed to eject spent cartridges from the right-hand-side so that the cartridges do not interfere with the wielder of the weapon.

Revealing mistakes

Spelling mistakes in in-game text.
The heavy metal top hatch on Humvees flaps leaflike when a Humvee is on a bumpy road.

Miscellaneous

Even after an EMP is set off, there are still lights on.
Many soundbites from the previous game are reused here and are misused, for instance, there's a chance Haggard will say "Crap, more Russians." in Bolivia, against the Bolivian mercenaries.

Anachronisms

The U.S. soldiers are wearing BDUs instead of the ACU.

Errors in geography

Ravens can be heard in the background in Bolivia. There are no known corvids in South America.

Plot holes

The 'Out Of Bounds' explanation is that mortars are covering any area outside where the Player is supposed to be x even if no one is around to fire mortars.

Character error

In the intro of the first mission, taking place in October 1944, a US commando NCO says "we (the US) have the atomic bomb". The US did not yet have any atomic bombs at that time, and it is very unlikely for a non-com to have been aware of the Manhattan Project at that time, or for such a soldier to be sent behind enemy lines (where the mission takes place), risking capture and interrogation.
Haggard misidentifies the aircraft, an Antonov AN-124 which is a four-engined plane, as the larger six-engined AN-225.
