So, I give movies a chance if they're over a 5 star on IMDB. This one wasn't so I'm giving a review. It's trash but it's watchable trash.
The fear of being stuck on an airplane gives this an immediate sense of dread. It has a good setup- in an airport, fussy antagonists, dad who is ambivalent to his daughter who might try and come in and save the day? There's an actor who I thought was Gerard Depardieu but is not him, but whoever he is did a great job. The rest of the cast is great.
The camerawork is also well done. I don't live in LA, but I assume this is what it looks like. This is worth a watch for sure.

Just ignore the negative reviews and give it a try. I've seen every shark movie and some are pretty dumb and some were really good. This one falls in between.. yeah it's far-fetched but don't put too much thought into it and you might enjoy it.
The plane crashes over the Pacific Ocean and they are stuck in an air pocket while sharks are circling around. The story goes from there. I thought it was very entertaining.
The acting was pretty decent considering I never heard of anybody in this movie. Give it a try without any high expectations . Definitely deserves at least five stars. But I'm giving it 6 because it kept my attention throughout.

This is a film about a Teddy who survives being lost in an airport, a plane crash and sharks only to be heartlessly tossed back onto the dark watery depths by his owner! Justice for Mr Timms!!!
I realise it wasn't setting out to be an epic and it's quite entertaining, I did keep shouting, not sure sharks do that and I'd have liked some of the minor characters to have a bit more of an arc but hey, it does what it says on the tin. One character does something toward the end that I found particularly frustrating, I just don't think that would be a choice a grandmother would make but hey we are not looking for realism. That poor Teddy though.

This was a lot better than i was expecting, in fairness to it.
There was a bit of scene setting and then it was right into the action with passengers one by one getting munched by the over grown Goldfish of the deep.
It was well shot, at times the script was a bit lacking, and most of the main characters were decent enough, though the lad who broke his arm in the crash was one you just had no interest in as he was far too obnoxious in the opening scenes.
It did a decent job in building a bit of tension, though, for me anyway, it was obvious which characters were going to survive from early on, so although it succeeded in the tension, it did lack in suspense.
It's certainly better than some of the reviews would suggest. It's not going to be an 'Oscar' nominated film, but it's by no means awful.

After reading the reviews I just had to see this movie to see if it was as bad as so many stated. Turns out it was decent and deserved a watch. Makes me wonder just how many decent movies I've missed because I relied on the reviews of others who apparently expect each movie they review to be an Oscar winner or it isn't worth watching. Needless to say, I will be considering a lot more movies in the future and relying less on the reviews. I also wonder if the people giving bad reviews have some sort of agenda? I would hate to think so but nowadays just about anything is possible. Anyway, enjoy the movie and if not, consider your expectations maybe need adjustment.
