Excellent. Good acting and it gives a good understanding of the cruelty of the war. The personal curage and concequencies for brave men and women figthing the nazies. An important piece of danish wartime history. Based on what really happened weather we like it or not. Touching and important to remember for ever. I am proud that these danes fought and not just behaved as the germans and out government wanted the danes to do. A vital and important monument of the brave restiance group. The Hvidsten group. For ever worth remembering. This excellent film helps us remembering. Good work and tine art.

Appears to be a telemovie or definitely low budget. Don't let that put you off. The main actress and her mother are very good. Well told story with a very human touch.

It tells the story of two women arrested because the males of the family stood up to the German occupation of Denmark with a resistance group. The women are arrested and sentenced. They are imprisoned in Copenhagen firstly and then transported to Germany. The real ordeal occurs here. They are separated and then transported across Germany to various prisons where they are brutalised and starved. This continues until the end of the war with many who were with them dying. The mother struggles with every way possible to bring them home.
