After all, one tends to root for an underdog, and when a film like this arrives, which is a geopolitical drama told in a very non-filmy way, it is embraced wholeheartedly. That’s what makes this Yami Gautam film special since it’s still holding so well after being in theatres for four weeks.

Even on Tuesday, the film collected over 3 crores, and that’s good because as long as the weekday collections too stay around this mark, one can expect the coming weekend to see a good rise all over again and, in the process, bring in substantial numbers.

On Monday, Shaitaan had collected 3.18 crores, and now on Tuesday, the film has stayed quite stable at 3 crores*. If the film stabilizes today and tomorrow with not much of a fall, then one can expect the week to close at 2.75 crores and then comfortably stay over the 2 crores mark on Friday. There are new films that are releasing this weekend, and they look interesting, which means Shaitaan will be competing with multiple films from the past and future, including Hollywood releases as well.

While the horror flick did not witness any major drop for 10 long days despite a new release with Sidharth Malhotra’s Yodha, the film finally saw the first major drop on the 2nd Monday.

As per the early trends, Shaitaan is all set to collect in the range of 3 – 3.5 crore on the 11th day of its release. However, this drop on the 2nd Monday is not surprising. It would have been a magical disbelief if the drop would not have been there.
