Despite each episode running only about 11 minutes, the series manages to pack in nearly every possible nuance within that brief runtime. The animation brilliantly leverages its premise-centering on flies as individuals and insects as a collective-to craft amusing and hilarious narratives. What's remarkable is that the characters aren't actively trying to create comedic situations; they're simply going about their mundane fly lives. Yet, from the audience's perspective, this ordinary existence becomes a rich source of comedy.
The character design is superb, and the production technique is outstanding. Characterization is well-executed, with even the side characters receiving ample attention.
