Is a good love story, funny ending. I enjoyed watching it and was waiting for a great ending. It could have continued on longer.

The plot Gonulcelen is about a flower girl from a working-class district of Istanbul, who will later work her way up to a very famous singer.
Both the story and especially the music give a faithful picture of how people interact with each other in a large society on a daily basis. My view after seeing this series is that it is very long-winded, and after a while it gets boring to watch. The continuous turning between Murat and Hacet is boring and dominates the boredom in the series. This story could just as well have been put down in 30 instead of 56 episodes. Not to mention that at the time of shooting this series, a wedding was in prospect between Levent and Hasret. I actually mean to say between Onur and Tuba in 2012. For Tuba's career, her role in this one was a very good entry.

This is more than just a musical comedy romantic series it's about Turkish culture especially the gypsy people, and the differences between rich and poor people, that happiness doesn't come only from money and fame and that moral value is much more important.
it shows that being classy doesn't mean fancy clothes and stylish appearance, it simply how to behave in classy way and rise in your morals like Murat.
it discussed a very important point which is the difference between real and classy art and cheap art. the soundtrack it used was divine and touch the soul and all the songs were amazing.
it presented deep feeling and emotions in a classy way and answer the eternal question: which is more important, saying I love you or making you feel it with each action i do???
it's true that the show have some mistakes but it wasn't that serious and didn't affect it's overall value.
greatness comes with simplicity and this is what u did with this show, you give us an example of pure love. Murat& Hasret made us explore & learn new prospectives in life, made us laugh and melt, and made us cry but even their pain had a different sweet taste. your are the BEST classic love legend EVER
thanks to all the cast for their outstanding performance, especially TUBA & CANCEL

I watched this because I am a fan of Tuba Buyukustun. I really think that she is like Audrey Hepburn and she is like a princess :-)
I love how they always put some real life characteristics of her in her tv series like here her love and support for children as shown in the music foundation for children and I read somewhere that one of her wish is to be a singer ( IWC interview ).
I discovered Cancel Elcin who is so so so charming when he stares at her, nods his head and looks at her and smiles!!!!
I super love the main story of Gonulcelen and I wish they gave more airtime for Murat (Cancel Elcin ) and Hasret ( Tuba Buyukustun ). It started out so well with the main story then their romance, then I found the middle part too long when they were not together :-( I wish they could edit it ( and I am sure this will be a super hit ) and put it on netlfix with the correct english subtitles. - I am a fan from the Philippines :-) and I wish there were more Tuba Buyukustun shows in Netflix.

Gönülçelen though inspired by Bernard Shaw's play 'Pygmalion' and its film adaptation 'My Fair Lady', is now , after 30 episodes, very far from the original story, and disappointed many people. Murat, the rich and well-educated musician and academician, has transformed Hasret, the poor and uneducated flower girl into a talented singer in such a short time. After this transformation now the screenplay created a twin sister of Murat's ex-girlfriend and a revenge vs love story, and a love triangle between best friends , Murat and Levent, Hasret's manager and Murat's best friend, and Hasret. The actors and actresses are very talented in this series but unfortunately the screenplay is very poorly written. At times I personally feel sorry for the time of the actors and actresses. Especially after prominent roles in successful TV series "Kırık Kanatlar" and "Hatırla Sevgili", we would like to see Cansel Elcin in more successfully written scenes, hopefully in a movie with a well written story soon.
You only reason I rated it eight stars because it's actually a full 10 star series, because after the first 14 episodes the English translation and closed captions stopped. So the rest of the series you had to just imagine by their facial expressions and body language what the story was about. Please subtitle all episodes in English!

Her poor character was in love with a wooden log. She gave this series color, fun, beauty, comedy, love, persistence, resistance, all in the right measures. Well done Tuba. Oh, just watching her collect the many dropped books from the school's long entry stairs.
