Trivia

Dum Maaro Dum

Edit
Aditya Pancholi who plays the main antagonist in the film said that speaking local Goan language Konkani was not difficult for him because he is a frequent visitor to Goa and can speak the language like the locals.
The scene where Pratiek Babbar and Gulshan Deviah are seen walking on the beach with rocks in the background is at shot Arambol beach which is quite popular tourist spot in Goa,earlier the song Dil Pe Tera Naam Ka Paigam Likh Du from the 1993 film Shatranj was shot on the same rocks.
Emraan Hashmi and Farhan Akhtar were both approached for Rana Daggubati ' role. They both refused.
Kangna Ranaut was approached for Bipasha Basu's role but she opted out because of her past relationship with Aditya Pancholi.
There was controversy over the theme of the film. One particular promotional dialogue from the film "Liquor is cheap here and women are even cheaper here" caused quite a stir.[26] Media professional Savio Rodrigues filed a petition to Goa Bench of Bombay High Court seeking a permanent ban on the movie stating that the wrong portrayal might attract sex offenders, drug launderers and criminals to Goa.
