One of the scenes in the movie was shot at the exactly same spot where George Lucas himself filmed several scenes for his Star Wars: Épisode IV - Un nouvel espoir (1977) saga. It was the so-called "Camel Head Rock" in the Sahara Desert in Tunisia. The area was the set for the famous pod-race scenes and the location where Darth Maul launched the hunt for the Naboo Royal Starship and fought Qui-Gon Jinn in Star Wars, épisode I : La Menace fantôme (1999). Locations nearby were also used for Les Aventuriers de l'arche perdue (1981) and Le patient anglais (1996).
