The Lost Future

Birthday Beefcake: The Shirtless Evolution Of Corey Sevier
Canada Day was two days ago, but it should probably be officially extended in order to celebrate the 30th birthday of Corey Sevier. He got his start as a child star, best known as Timmy for two seasons on the 1997 series remake of Lassie, and as Dan for two seasons on the series Little Men, but his adult career has been steadily growing, both on TV and the big screen

Speaking of steadily growing, so has his shirtless portfolio. So on his birthday, let’s take a look at the shirtless evolution of Corey over the last decade.

2004 – Decoys

2005 – North Shore

2006 – Gospel Of Deceit

2007 – Surf School

2010 – The Lost Future

2011 – Age Of The Dragons

2011 – 5th & Alameda

2011 – Immortals

2012 – Awaken

2012 – Osombie

2013 – Apartment 1303

Corey is currently starring on the Lifetime series Cedar Cove (which comes back for Season Two on July 19th), and while he hasn’t had any shirtless scenes yet, we have faith in him!

Trailers for WWII Drama 'Walking with the Enemy' with Ben Kingsley
"I will not be intimidated." Liberty has debuted two new trailers for the indie WWII drama Walking with the Enemy, directed by Mark Schmidt, starring an international cast including Sir Ben Kingsley looking like a fine chap, all right, plus Jonas Armstrong (Book of Blood, Edge of Tomorrow), Hannah Tointon (The Children, The Body, The Lost Future), Burn Gorman (Pacific Rim, The Dark Knight Rises), Mark Wells and William Hope (Captain America, Dark Shadows). The film is set mostly in Hungary, and looks surprisingly powerful and epic, despite the indie feeling to it. Two new trailers join the original trailer a few months ago. This looks like it might be worth seeing, but it doesn't have many good reviews yet. Take a look. Here's the latest trailer (#3) for Mark Schmidt's Walking with the Enemy, in high def from Apple: Here's the other new trailer (#2) for Mark Schmidt's Walking with the Enemy,...

Two Clips of Sean Bean Trying to Survive The Lost Future
I must be really out of the loop because I had no idea the Sean Bean post-apocalyptic survival monster movie The Lost Future premieres on Syfy this weekend. Looking at these two clips from this South African production, it looks to potentially be a considerable step up from the usual schlock Syfy typically unspools on their Saturday evenings.

Sean Bean might wish he was back in the Lord of the Rings shire when he finds himself amongst the few humans trying to survive in a primitive wasteland populated by behemoths and mutant manimals in this Syfy original from Mikael Salomon, director of the 2004 remake of Salem's Lot and 2008 remake of The Andromeda Strain.

A group of post-apocalyptic survivors struggle to survive in a world where jungles and forests and primeval wetlands and deserts have obliterated civilization. They staunchly face genetically mutating beasts and mysterious diseases in an attempt to re-establish...

Sean Bean and Annabelle Wallis in The Lost Future (2010)
SyFy Channel Original Movies are getting serious attention.
Sean Bean and Annabelle Wallis in The Lost Future (2010)
Ok, I’m not saying the days of Mansquito and Sharktopus are gone, it appears that SyFy is now getting movies people want to see.

Last Saturday Red: The Werewolf Hunter brought in big numbers for the channel. We’re talking 2.06 million viewers. Of course the big draw was Felicia Day, the love interest from Dr. Horrible’s Sing-a-Long Blog and creator of her own web series, The Guild. Since Dr. Horrible came out, Felicia has become a cult icon amongst the geek community. So people have really been waiting for a movie with her in it.

SyFy’s next movie will star Sean Bean in The Lost Future, and is set in an exotic and dangerous future world where an isolated tribe battles for survival in a landscape overrun by mutated beasts carrying a mysterious and deadly illness.

Assuming the film does well, it will be the flagship for a series of 3 films.

Latest Pirates of the Caribbean 4 Casting News
Despite initial hiccups (such as whether Johnny Depp would return or not) Pirates of the Caribbean 4 has been moving forward quite smoothly for awhile, especially when it comes to casting.

After it was confirmed that Depp would be returning as fan-favorite Captain Jack Sparrow, we learned of two new major casting additions: Ian McShane (as the villain Blackbeard) and Penelope Cruz (as Blackbeard’s daughter and Captain Jack’s “equal”).

Now we’re hearing word of some possible new Pirates of the Caribbean 4 casting additions, one of which may be pretty major.

Firstly, Production Weekly Tweeted that Stephen Graham (Public Enemies) is currently in talks to star in Pirates of the Caribbean 4 as a character called “Scram.” No other details were given, but I’m guessing the character is one of the pirates either helping or hindering Captain Jack’s quest to find the Fountain of Youth.

I personally think...
