The potential was much stronger

TV series: There was a series like this back in the 23rd year. Everyone watched it and even remembered the band, and some opened it, so much so that there was music in the charts.

The series is really good as a biopic, although it is not objective due to the fact that only one of the key figures lived to see the film adaptation and was able to take part.

Inserts with fairy tales from which a separate film was later edited are very much for an amateur. They don't fit into the narrative and work only for the ending.

If the series was biographical with a minimum of something like that, then even 7 points could be given, and so it turned out, it turned out.

The fans will definitely come in, the rest - I don't know

The movie is an addition: Were all these fantasy fairy tales/film adaptations of songs cut out of the series and released as a separate film?

I don't know, I'm not a fan of this, and as I wrote above, I think this is almost the only drawback of the series.

Well, that's fine. Does anyone like what to do?

A small addition: I would like to take this opportunity to add that the Extras on the Film search for this series turned out to be suitable for the first time, so I strongly recommend watching both on KP and on YouTube.

Brilliant story and performance

Korol i Shut is a unique Russian-language series that weaves together two distinct storylines - a medieval fantasy adventure based on the punk stories of the band "Korol i Shut," and a tragic biopic about the life of Mikhail Gorshnev, the band's late frontman who struggled with addiction.

The fantasy elements of the series are well-executed, with engaging characters, impressive production design, and an excellent soundtrack provided by the band's music. The biopic storyline adds depth and emotional weight to the show, providing a realistic and raw portrayal of Gorshnev's struggles with addiction and his eventual downfall.

Overall, "Korol i Shut" is a must-watch series for fans of punk music and medieval fantasy, as well as anyone interested in the life and legacy of Mikhail Gorshnev. The show is a unique and compelling blend of genres that offers a fresh and exciting take on the biopic and fantasy genres.

Better russian-language biopic

"Korol i shut" or "King & Jester" is a better russian-language biopic of late. History of the eponymous punk band is told with two storylines: biography of frontmen Mikhail Gorshnev and fantasy scenes from the plot of their songs.

Atypical images Since "King & Jester" were one of the founders of Russian horror punk - all their lyrics are full of dark fantasy images. Which is sometimes mixed with drug trips of Mikhaila Gorshneva in surrealistic scenes of his fall in addiction. As if Danny Boyle decided to create a fairy tale about gnomes and princesses living in dirty suburbs of a post-soviet city.

Dramatically plot The plot is based on the dramatic life of rockstar and his struggle with addiction. Hero try close hole in his soul with drugs, but when he had found love and he had returned friend drugs already didn't let him go.

Authentic soundtrack Film full of famous songs of the "King & Jester". It should be like not only to fans, but just rock music lovers. I had heard different genres from punk to rock opera, from acoustic lyrics to hardcore

Despite the advantages I didn't feel catharsis at the culmination of the series. For me the end had come without strong experiences. As if the author had not revealed the whole story. But in general the King & Jester is a good show if you like rock music, fantasy and good drama.
