Entirely predictable
DEVIL'S BRIDGE is a localised version of the horror hit HOSTEL, with the storyline moved to rural Wales were a trio of young vacationing males find themselves up against a psychotic Welsh farmer with a deep-seated hatred for the English. What follows is entirely predictable and indeed almost entirely without merit, because everything about this is bad. Whenever any kind of incident occurs the movie resorts to crass shaky-camera style effects which date this interminably, while the digital look adds a depressing feel to the proceedings. Of the cast, only David Schofield is familiar; the others work hard but the all-too-pedestrian script doesn't give them much to do other than play out the obvious.
