        Gamyam review

Director Radha Krishna has made a nice experiment on the screen to explain the value of life, the depth of love, the difference between attraction and real love. He chose love as the backdrop of the story. The film is almost similar to Mee Sreyobhilashi but in a different way. In that film, the hero takes some people, who want to die and make them learn the value of life. However, in this film, the hero goes in search of his lover and in the process learns the value of life and love, besides learning the lifestyle of common people. Krish, who made his debut as director, did a commendable job, by scripting excellent screenplay as the entire movement of the film is based on it. In a nutshell, the film is based on a theme - Premanu Preminche Prema, Premakai Preminchina Premanu Premistundi. (A love which loves the love of others, really loves the one who really loves all others than the one single individual.

A dramatic road movie for a change, but no change in drama

        Gamyam (2008) : Brief Review -

A dramatic road movie for a change, but no change in drama. Krish Jagarlamudi's Gamyam has been in my downloads folder for a long time now, but I finally opened the folder today. I downloaded it with high expectations, but by the time I decided to watch it, the expectations went lower. I don't know why, but somehow I just knew it wouldn't be anything extraordinary. And I was right. That doesn't mean it's a bad film. It might be a new romantic adventure for Telugu audiences who have been sick of watching mindless action entertainers. For me, it was a decent to good affair, with some high moments. So, it's a regular romantic drama turned into a road film-a genre that hasn't been explored well yet, but people are crazy about it anyway. A rich boy has a bet with a friend that he will make a poor girl fall in love with him within a month. Now, that's new (how did you like the joke?). During the process, he really falls in love with her. That's another unique thing about it (cracked another joke without your permission). Since he is a rich, spoiled guy, he fails to understand the importance of life and the ways of living. On the other hand, the girl may be poor, but she lives her life the way it should be lived. She wants him to change, but he won't, and after an accident, she quits this shaky relationship. Realising his mistake, the boy is off on a road trip to find the girl and is accompanied by a small-time thief. Together, these two learn lessons about life and people. That's all. There is a slightly emotional quotient in the ending based on friendship, but that isn't anything great. Strictly good. The performances were okay, but the direction was not okay at all. The film has those typical daily soap-type scenes and dialogue that were outdated even for its time. Mostly, many so-called great Telugu films suffer from the same issue, so let's not get into that. Overall, a watchable affair, but nothing extraordinary, as hailed by some low-IQ movie buffs.

        Simply Beautiful.

Such a gem. I loved watching this movie and it was different from other Telugu movies that were out at the time. It was funny, emotional and the friendship between the two male characters was beautiful to watch. I have to give a huge applause to Allari Naresh. He did great justice to an free and flamboyant character like Galli Senu. Also I commend Naresh's commitment to being a professional no matter what the situation was. Sharwanand and Kamalinee were also really good. I loved the development of Sharwanand's character. All in all give it a chance. You will love it. I watched this movie so many times and never got tired of watching it.

        Written in good intentions

"Gamyam" is a profound journey of self-discovery and redemption set against the backdrop of rural India. Directed by Radhakrishna Jagarlamudi (Krish), the film stars Allari Naresh and Sharwanand in memorable roles that redefine their careers. The narrative follows Abhiram (Sharwanand), a wealthy youngster who embarks on a transformative road trip with a compassionate nomad, Gaali Seenu (Allari Naresh), and a spirited journalist, Janaki (Kamalinee Mukherjee). Together, they traverse through societal disparities, cultural clashes, and personal introspection. "Gamyam" excels in its realistic portrayal of characters and their evolution, complemented by a soulful soundtrack by E. S. Murthy. With its thought-provoking themes and stellar performances, particularly from Naresh and Sharwanand, "Gamyam" stands as a poignant tale of humanity, humility, and the universal quest for meaning.
