Writer/Director Claire Ayoub and Casting Director Rori Bergman led a nationwide casting call to find the cast of Empire Waist, where they met lead actor and newcomer Jemima Yevu.
Writer/Director Claire Ayoub led 17 live readings of the EMPIRE WAIST screenplay across the U.S. in 2019-2020. Ayoub edited the script between readings based on audience feedback and no audience heard the same script twice. The screenplay resonated with audiences age 14-84.
