This is a movie with a very low budget, made more like an outing for a group of amateur reenactment enthusiasts than a cast of real actors. The movie is just not worth it, and the low level is evident from minute zero. The plot is non-existent, the setting inaccurate, and the uniforms and weapons completely wrong. The worst part is seeing that there are a few positive comments and 10-star ratings, which can only be due to bad faith or having confused it with another movie; perhaps there is one with the same title that truly deserves these comments, but this one definitely does not.
Of course, it's always appreciated the effort involved in carrying out a film project, with its enormous complexity, especially without a budget, but this cannot be reason enough to end up making such a poor-quality movie. There are numerous productions that have shown that with a low budget, interesting things can be done. When money is scarce, you have to figure out how to not mess up the basics, and in this movie, they really haven't bothered with this aspect at all. A movie with historical setting requires expert consultants in different areas, and in war movies, like those set in WWII, knowledge of uniforms is fundamental, as everything is well-documented and nothing can be left to improvisation.

Did not even make it 3 mins of this poorly executed film. Can tell there was zero input from anyone with military experience. Could of made it more realistic using military members fresh out of basic training. 10/10 WOULD NOT recommend to anyone who ever served or knows anyone who has served in the military. If you are looking for a good military movie just look anywhere else but here. I don't know who the people are who rated this 10 stars but they must not be anyone who has ever watched a military movie before and have no experience whatsoever with anything related to military. Please do not waste your time.

SO incredibly boring with lame dialogue, super-predictable plot, and a boring ending. If you need help getting to sleep, this is the perfect war movie for you. I'm baffled since it seems to get other good reviews.

I saw the reviews of 8.7 out of 10 and thought I was in for treat. 3 minutes in the bad cgi, lack of a technical advisor, soldier's with the wrong kit and weapons for the time frame had me turn it off and find something. Anything else to watch.
Save yourself from this movie unless someone has a gun to your head stay away. To the film makers it doesn't seem like it wouldn't have taken much to make something better out of the resources you had but here we are. As a historian and rivet counter you failed when you actually had promise. There is a rich genre of war films that got it right. Maybe you shod have screened some before you made this film.

This independent movie based on World War II is one of the most interesting and intelligent movies I've seen this year. There are many movies that chronicle the journey of a soldier in a war, but this particular film goes much further than any other. The writing is incredibly brilliant and constantly makes you feel sympathy for each of the characters, who are surprisingly interesting. The performances are wonderful, especially Michael Placencia who plays the main Sargeant character.
The direction of the "Seven Lost" makes you feel as if you are with them, allowing you to be part of the journey in the entirety of the film. Few filmmakers can direct a war movie as good as this one.
From a technical perspective, "Seven Lost" is an absolute achievement in cinema. It is a visually beautiful film with stunning cinematography. The sound effects and mixing are possibly the best I've ever heard in a movie! The shots are loud, scary and realistic.
Considering this is an indie movie, I was absolutely blown away by the use of CGI as it looks incredibly real. The wardrobe and makeup department should also be celebrated as they did an amazing job.
I love when filmmakers have insight when making a war movie. You can see the amount of research that went into portraying the soldiers, their struggles, and their emotions. It seems that each of the characters has a purpose and a life behind the war, which makes you want to see more of them.
Usually, if a WWII movie is boring, it takes my attention away completely, but this movie had me hooked from start to finish, because it's not only historically accurate, it's also incredibly entertaining. It's hard to describe this movie in words, but I urge you to watch it right away, you won't regret it.

So I didn't read any reviews before watching this movie. I could tell it was going to be a low budget movie before I started watching it, so my expectations were low to begin with. But man I was surprised just how poor this was within the first five minutes.
The costume department did and awful job with the uniforms, especially what the Italians were wearing.
The script was awful and I even feel bad referring to is as a script. Some of the acting was pretty bad and some was passable given what the actors had to work with. The story itself was the standard predictable affair and very very basic. This was just a really hard film to watch as it is beyond slow and very unengaging. I can see why other reviewers didn't finish it.
As a side note I have now read the reviews for this movie and feel that the 10 star ones are clearly positive review bombing.

A good Indie Film that delivers on a lot of close up war fair and plenty of action. I enjoyed the story it takes you on, along with the location, wardrobe, props, sets and the TANK!! It's always great to see Indie films and the time/passion it takes to bring a film to life with small budgets. It is no easy task but this cast/crew pulled it off and told a story that put the viewers right in the action and drama. The best part for me is the effort to go as real as possible and not hold back on how ruthless war can be and how you can discard a life so effortlessly. Somthing people of war no nothing about this film was able to show.
Congratulations to the cast/crew for bringing the story to life.

Must watch with the right attitude. This is a leader in the unintentionally funny category. Move over 'The Room' and 'Plan 9 from Outer Space'. Crack open a bottle, open a bag of chips and MST3K this bomb.
It's obvious that no one involved in this film ever served in the military, ever fired a gun, ever read a book about war or ever saw a war movie. Or, maybe, any movie.
We expected a good war flick given all the 10 star rating bombs in here (the director has a lot of friends) and it wouldn't have been so bad if we hadn't paid for it. But down to 1-star for the blatant dishonesty.
Still, if you need a laugh a minute, check this one out.

There are Thousands of great World War movies available... PASS on this one.
Really BAD acting, awful/repetitive dialog, slow moving, American soldiers depicted as clueless and incompetent, while Italian soldiers painted as monsters. I believe this is totally inaccurate.
There is No time reference as to the war, and no sense as to where in Italy this fighting is taking place, no town names, just that they have to head North. The compass scene is hard to take.
Unrealistic fighting scenes. The original Italian dialog is not even close to the Italian language. Who wrote this screenplay??? I cannot believe I sat through the whole movie.
The ONLY Positive is that it's very short.

Documentaries are usually boring and hard to watch till the end, but seven lost exceeds the expectation. The story follows an American troop stranded in the Italian wilderness, struggling to find their way back to safety during World War 2. The hard life of soldiers is depicted in a way that you feel connected to them as if they are your family members. The acting and direction is so perfectly done that it would show you the real picture of the life and struggles soldiers as they try to find their way back to America from Italy.
One thing that I liked was that the movie is shot by hand in a way that gives a real-life experience which makes you feel like you're experiencing it all first-hand. This gives the viewers a better understanding of the heart wrenching War.
The actors gave such a stellar performance, especially Karl J. Arana who was very convincing in the role of a captain. As a whole the entire cast gave their blood and sweat which was quite visible from their terrific performance.
The movie soars into much depth about the horrific reality of the war that the viewers feel emphatically driven towards the people who suffered in the war. All credit goes to the direction but to the cast and crew as well, they showed the viewers a side of the war that was never seen before.
All in all, seven lost is a movie that will not only you hooked to it through 80 minutes onto your seats but also gives a feeling of sympathy towards the heroes of World War 2 or any other war that is going on in the world.

Seven Lost is a WWII film that realistically depicts the lives and involvement of seven soldiers during WWII. The film takes the time to flesh out the character so you feel for each one of them and their struggles. The performances were fantastic, the battle sequences were very well made, and the writing was on point. A film of this nature doesn't work if the writing is not well researched and accurate. This film gets a lot of point for the accuracy of its narrative. Production values such as weaponry, uniforms and photography are also great. All in all it is a very thrilling story of survival and definitely worth a watch if you like historical films, war films, or survival films.

One would think that the world has had enough World War II films to last a lifetime, or even till the end of time. That is until you watch "Seven Lost". Written and directed by Eduardo Castrillo, who also doubles as Leo in the film, the film retells the biggest war mankind has ever seen from a fresh perspective that leaves the viewer intrigued and asking for more.
Seven Lost is a journey for survival of seven soldiers who aptly grace its title. Starting in the middle of the 2nd World War, its lens focuses on seven American soldiers posted to Italy in the allied war campaign against the Axis powers. Tired, homesick and quickly running out of supplies, the soldiers are making their way to the nearest American base camp. However, their seemingly straightforward journey is immediately met by an Italian ambush, where they quickly lose several members of the troop. The members of the troop, soon devoid of leadership as their higher-ranking officers are soon mowed down by Italian guns, are left to trudge on in the hostile Italian landscape in their quest for escape, survival, and redemption.
In a stunning war thriller, Seven Lost blends the melancholy with the action-packed with such finesse that enthralls the viewer, ripping them from their gentle reality at the comfort of their homes and thrusts them into the horrific scenes of the war. Through the devastation, hunger and desperation, both the user and the soldiers march on in the unforgiving terrain, surviving encounter after encounter with ruthless gun-wielding Italian soldiers as they seek the solace that only home can provide.
A vichyssoise of emotion, and roller-coaster of sentiment, Eduardo Castrillo's film is not just a tale of bravery, courage, survival and good old-fashioned teamwork in the face of adversity. It is a narrative of resilience when division and self-preservation threaten to tear apart the platoon in a willful battle for survival, where only the strong remain.

The first thing I noticed with this movie was the good cinematography. Audio was balanced nicely so I wasn't straining to hear dialogue. Another point is the color was done well. When you're not looking at a Hollywood movie, these things aren't to be taken for granted. I'm not particularly big on war movies but this is one that actually held my interest. Maybe it was the good acting? I could identify with each soldier and their emotion came through. A lot of heart was put into the making of this film from wardrobe to props. Not everyone has a tank or a WE2 era machine gun to loan out to shoot a movie. Great job!

A rare and important film that showcases the war efforts of latinos during WW2. A team of seven soldiers are lost behind enemy lines in Italy and heroically defend civilians.
The movie's concept has mainstream sensibilities both in script and execution despite its low budget. Lots of great talent is evident in the movie's production from the Director and Actors to the Cinematography and Musical Score. It's an exciting and polished looking presentation.
Do yourself a favor and check out this excellent indie feature that helps fill the glaring gap in Hollywood's portrayal of Latinos' bravery and sacrifice during WW2.

You can tell the passion put into this film by the creators behind the camera. A period piece that took me back to the 1940s. It's a heavy film of survival, trust, and the truth about the latino soldiers part in America's fight during World War 2.
Thumbs up to the director for the authentic soldiers and their outfits. The cast had great emotion and depth in their characters. The locations were great and added to the plot and authenticity of the film. I can only imagine how much time and effort and details the crew put into giving the film it's realness.
Well done! A slow burn that pays off with great emotion in the end. Kudos!

An incredible journey of survival of a few soldiers during the World War. The story line is concise, but it delves into the psychology of the soldiers. It's important to have a period piece look like the period related to the story and the director did a great job with that! I felt like I was actually in the war during some sequences!
The cinematography was excellent as well as the visual effects. That's very important in independent films. If you are looking for me to give away spoilers, don't hold your breath. I won't give the story away, you HAVE to watch this! Great job by director Eduardo Castillo, cast and crew!

Its available on multiple platforms including Prime Video, Tubi, Apple TV, Roku Channel, and Plex! An independent World War 2 film made about soldiers who hollywood never wanted to represent in the big budget blockbusters. It's very tough these days for an indie movie to get traction though with all that's available out there on streaming platforms so every view helps, every push helps, every recommendation helps, and that's why this review is being made. Streaming platforms pay pennies on the dollar for every stream so anything to help the algorithm get our project out there. Thank you for your time watching.

I didn't know what to expect at first as it was referred by a friend. "Seven Lost" is a captivating independent war movie that deftly navigates the complexities of human emotions amidst the chaos of conflict. It's not easy to make a war movie on a low budget and this team did it!! The film's raw and unfiltered portrayal of the harsh realities of war provides a thought-provoking experience, making it a standout in the indie genre. The character-driven narrative, coupled with stellar performances, offers a poignant exploration of sacrifice, camaraderie, and the indomitable spirit that emerges in the face of adversity. While lacking the big-budget spectacle, "Seven Lost" compensates with its authenticity, delivering a powerful and memorable cinematic experience that lingers long after the credits roll.
Well done.
Well done.
