A strict father loosens up enough to let his children take a day off school for a trip to the countryside. But things turn darker when the family realize he is planning to make it their last outing ever.

With the world in financial turmoil, Kurt Wendell has lost his top job in the city but cannot bear to tell his family the dreadful truth. Luckily he's a man who knows how to make serious cutbacks... Granting his children a day off school and his wife a day off work, Kurt drives the whole family to a remote spot, miles from civilization. Little do they know what he has in store for them... This is a low budget British movie about a family man (Kurt) who gets made redundant from his job due to cut backs because of the financial wows hitting big business. He goes home to his family who are also having troubles either at school or work. Kurt decides to take his family to the country to try and forget the problems of city life.
