Robin Hood: Ghosts of Sherwood tells the story of Robin Hood from the horror perspective. The film will contain a lot of the same characters from the original story, but now Sherwood Forest is haunted with the undead Merry Men. By the way the film will be in digital 3D no less. The film is directed by Oliver Krekel and stars Tom Savini as the Sheriff of Nottingham, Kane Hodder as Little John along with Tom Paladin Bareck, Carolina Grigorov, Kai Borchardt and Martin Hentschel.

A new telling of the Robin Hood rags to riches tale is being told at Cannes '11. Instead of tights and English accents, you will find skulls and lifelike 3D, in Robin Hood: Ghosts of Sherwood. There is no current release date for this title in North America, but you can experience some gothic thrills here, with the film's first imposing graphic. Make-up artist and actor Tom Savini (Dawn of the Dead) will play a ruthless Sheriff of Nottingham and some more exciting cast announcements await you inside.

Kane Hodder discusses playing Victor Crowley once again in Hatchet II, working with director Adam Green, Chillerama and much more.
Kane Hodder's place in the horror history books has long been secured, but, like any driven actor or performer, he's not one to rest on his laurels. He is the only actor to portray Jason Voorhees more than once (four times, in fact, in Friday The 13th Part VII: The New Blood, Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan, Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday, and Jason X), and he has even brought some real-life serial killers to life on the big screen in Ed Gein: The Butcher of Plainfield and B.T.K. as the B.T.K. killer, Dennis Rader. This stuntman/actor also portrays the horror genre's most recent beloved icon, Victor Crowley, in Adam Green's sequel Hatchet II, which will be released on Blu-ray and DVD...

A little while back, we shared the first photos from Tom Savini of the FX artist/filmmaker/actor in his role as the Sheriff of Nottingham in the new, genre-themed Robin Hood: Ghosts Of Sherwood (see them here). Now we’ve gotten ahold of a bunch more exclusive behind-the-scenes images from the film, including a couple of Savini’s co-star and fellow fright fave, Kane Hodder (pictured left and below).
