Fully met its purpose in my opinion.

I stumbled upon this film by accident, and I was pleasantly surprised. I read a lot of bad reviews and was preparing myself to watch an awful movie like D@bbe 2. However, this movie was far from disappointing.

Was it scary? Not at all. Was it entertaining throughout? 100% yes. The movie is hilarious. The dialogues and character were real-life like and likable. I laughed all the way through the movie. There was a lot of swearing yes; but I think Turkish people are the only ones who can merge humour and swearing as successfully as they do.

The film is very low budget, no special effects or striking scenes; but I appreciate it exactly for that - its simplicity. It's innovative and refreshing to see such a piece of work in Turkish cinema.

People are complaining it did not make sense and there were plot holes, lack of emotion in acting etc. However, they seem to have missed the point. This is a light hearted film that is supposed to make us laugh; the zombie theme is just a backdrop.

All in all, I recommend it wholeheartedly and advise people to watch it without expecting a serious zombie movie or anything with deep meaning. That is not the purpose of this film at all.

It was hilarious, new, refreshing, and at least now we can say Turkey has a zombie movie. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did.

    Totally Underrated :(

This is my first comment on imdb and this is the first attemp for zombie genre in Turkey. I just watched this movie today and thought "what the hell, this is like Shaun of the Dead Meets Cloverfield". Acting, scenario, concept and the HUMOR.. everything is top level. This is definitely one of the most underrated zombie movies of all times. Makeup is not the best and its not technically perfect but its scary and its funny. What else would you want?

Maybe not a bad start, but not a good movie either

I love comedy/horror movies. I love "Shaun of the Dead", I think it is one of the best in this genre. I also liked "Zombieland". I believe this is a distinct genre, which is neither horror nor comedy. So I do not think criticisms which do not understand the promise of comedy/horror genre are appropriate.

Having said that, I should say this movie is disappointing. The story does not offer much to make one wonder. Some lines are funny, but that's it. It is hard to identify with the characters as opposed to successful examples of comedy/horror such as "Shaun of the Dead" or "Zombieland", and I believe without such identification, it is hard to follow this type of movies since the stories have to be very simple.

I guess it is not a high budget movie. There are two or three known Turkish actors, but other than that I have not seen the actors and actresses before. So, average acting can be acceptable, and the make up of the zombies, especially some of the zombies, was good for a movie which seems to be done with an amateur style.

It might be a good start for Turkish zombie movies, but it could have a more intense storyline and characters which can be identified with.

    tagline, intention and the result

from my point of view, the problem with Turkish horror films is that, scaring Turkish people is like walking on eggs. you always have a great risk of being laughed at when you are trying to seriously scare. because turks are never afraid of anything. this is cultural and hard to change. this happened with d@bbe, okul, araf, gomeda and others. they tried to scare with a serious stance but they failed.

AZD already knew that. the English translation of this movie's tagline is 'we went to a wedding and they ate us' and it states that it is a horror, comedy film, which would be translated as 'please laugh at the scenes in which we fail to scare you'. (I laughed at that old lady zombie, she was dancing)I did not buy that neither did the majority of the audience.

OK the jokes were funny, the characters were similar to ours (like one of our own friends) however the movie did not scare and did not even create any tension.

thinking comedy with horror walking hand in hand is destined to fail, especially in Turkish cinema. a great horror or thriller movie should create a tension, stretch your nerves and calmly release them instead of making you laugh out laud. (antichrist would be a good example of tension which made my nerves like the strings of a violin) it is like trying to boil some water but throwing some ice into your pot while slowly heating it.

it is a B type horror, it tried to be funny, it succeeded. it tried to scare, it failed. a not very brave effort, bears the title of being the first zombie film of Turkish cinema, which also makes it the best and the worst Turkish zombie film at the same time.
