Black Lightning is a historic character, as he was the first black superhero to headline his own DC comic-book series. So it's nice to see him get his due on the CW - which in many fan's eyes - does a better job with superheroes than the Dceu does. Even if you disagree (I can't say, as I don't really watch the CW DC shows), I think the trailer embedded above looks... Read More...

I know its way too soon for me to say this, but I'm thinking Black Lightning could become one of The CW's best hero shows yet. That's just the vibe I got from this new trailer, which shows Jefferson Pierce struggling with the impact he can make as a school principal vs. being a superhero. I'm really digging the idea of a retired hero suiting back up, and I think any doubters are going to be pleasantly surprised when they see this show January 16th. Am I alone in my excitement? Check out the trailer below and tell me you don't feel the same way!

The good news for Arrowverse fans: Legends of Tomorrow‘s post-holiday return date has been set.
The not-so-super news? Supergirl, which returns on Jan. 15, will be grounded for a bit as its sister series takes over Monday’s lead-off spot.
As previously reported, the freshman superhero series Black Lightning is set to air Tuesdays at 9/8c, leading out of The Flash, starting Jan. 16.
The CW has announced that DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will thus resume Season 3 on Monday, Feb. 12 at 8 pm, where it will finish up its season with nine straight episodes (landing its finale on April 9).

After days of ten second teases, a decently long trailer has surfaced for the Black Lightning tv show, and it looks dope. Mainly, I'm a big fan of the costume and the fight sequences as the Arrow-verse needs a more physical hero...although The CW has yet to incorporate this new hero into the fold.
Check out the new trailer, let us know what you think, and be ready for the show's premiere January 16th!

“Black Lightning is back,” the latest trailer for the new CW DC Comics superhero show declares. It’s an unusual choice of words for a series that introduces a little-known superhero to TV, but Black Lightning follows an unusual premise: the electricity-controlling hero Jefferson Pierce is a retired vigilante who returns to the world of crime-fighting. It’s the Jessica Jones story […]

The 100 hasn't been getting a lot of attention these days from The CW, which has already revealed several premiere announcements and mid-season return dates. Noticeably absent from the slate is the post-apocalyptic drama which will unlikely get a January slot presumably because of the network's incoming shows such as Black Lightning and Life Sentence. However, leave it to fans of The 100 to show some love and make some noise.

We live in an era where television has become a prime medium for comic book adaptations. While shows like Smallville existed beforehand, it was the release of Arrow in 2012 that truly helped convince networks that these properties could be financially successful on the small screen.
Since then, fans have seen all sorts of expansions take place, from the Arrowverse giving birth to The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Constantine, and Supergirl, to the Netflix side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe bringing us Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and The Defenders, to even the X-Men series growing on television with Legion and The Gifted.
With even more properties like The Punisher and Black Lightning set to hit our screens quite soon as well, we thought we’d compile a list of seven other superheroes that we believe not only deserve their own show, but could realistically be pulled off successfully.

7.1 Election Night
For a section of the American population, the election of Donald Trump was a nightmare brought to life. For others, it was a victory against forces that they feel are conspiring to hold them down. Both parties are lampooned in the latest season of American Horror Story, which opens up with the real-life American horror story of the 2016 presidential election.

There seems to be a point in every season of a television show where I find my interest beginning to wander. It may not necessarily be the fault of the show, just a symptom of a wandering attention span. If a show is ten episodes, I'm usually fine; if a show stretches out to twelve or thirteen, somewhere near the middle or later in the order, I drift away. I've found myself drifting over the last couple of episodes of Preacher,...

Let’s get this out of the way up front: this was an exhilarating episode of Twin Peaks: The Return that gave me chills all over. How could it not be? David Lynch and Mark Frost finally gave us, after withholding it until the sixteenth hour, what we wanted. That said, I still believe this was a weaker episode than the previous one.
For one thing, before the big payoff came,...

Superheroes now seem to be everywhere in the popular media, from slotmachines at Casino Sans Depot to video games, mobile apps and product packaging.
But TV is getting the most action, with several superheroes, based on comic books lighting up the small screen including Netflix' solo series for Marvel's "Jessica Jones", "Iron Fist", "Luke Cage" and "Daredevil", as well as their upcoming team-up in "The Defenders".
This September Marvel's "Inhumans" will also hit the airwaves, as well as "The Gifted", spinning-off from the "X-Men", "The Runaways" gang of super-powered teens, the action romance "Cloak & Dagger" and the "New Warriors'.
