Dan Levy’s Netflix series has tapped Jack Innanen, Boran Kuzum and Abby Quinn as series regulars.

In the family crime comedy series, which is now titled “Big Mistakes,” Innanen will play Max, while Kuzum plays Yusuf and Quinn plays Natalie.

“Big Mistakes,” which stars Levy, Taylor Ortega and Laurie Metcalf, also tapped several recurring stars, including Elizabeth Perkins as Annette, Jacob Gutierrez as Tareq, Joe Barbara” as Mike, Josh Fadem as Ashley and Mark Ivanir as Ivan.

The news comes as the series has officially started production in New Jersey.

The official logline for “Big Mistakes” is as follows: “Two deeply incapable siblings are blackmailed into the world of organized crime.”

Levy serves as creator, showrunner and executive producer for “Big Mistakes” alongside Rachel Sennott, who serves as a creator and executive producer. The eight-episode series is also executive produced by Anne-Marie McGintee for Levy’s Not a Real Production Company.

As previously announced, Levy (who’s also billed as showrunner and executive producer) will play a character named Nicky, alongside Laurie Metcalf (Roseanne) as Linda. The Henry Cavill-led Highlander reboot has found its villain. The upcoming Amazon MGM Studios project will be a remake of the original 1986 movie of the same name, about an immortal Scottish Highlander who battles various supernatural entities.

Amazon MGM Studios' upcoming sequel to the Road House remake has hit some major turbulence. Filmmaker Guy Ritchie had been on board to direct, but shortly ahead of production, it's been revealed that this is no longer the case.

Per Deadline, Ritchie has exited the project, no longer set to direct Road House 2. The project was slated to start filming this fall, but even with Ritchie's departure, the plan is for the movie to move forward with its planned shooting schedule. A search is now underway for a new director amid continued casting. It's unclear why Ritchie exited the project at this time, as neither the director nor the studio have provided an official comment.

The word is that Jake Gyllenhaal will reprise his role from the previous film as Dalton, an ex-UFC fighter who is a reimagined version of Patrick Swayze's character from the original Road House.

To be a part of director Greta Gerwig's "Barbie" is to be a part of cinema history. Warner Bros. Pictures has dated M. Night Shyamalan’s supernatural romantic thriller Remain for Oct. 23, 2026. It was always expected that The Sixth Sense director’s next movie would go to Warners given the filmmaker’s deal there.

The only other wide entry on Oct. 23, 2026 is Jordan Peele’s next movie at Universal. Given the genre of it all here, one of these titles might ultimately have to move. If the showdown sticks, that’s intriguing: Shyamalan released several genre titles via Universal including Split, Glass, Old and Knock at the Cabin. He went over to Warner Bros to release Trap last summer which grossed close to $84M at the worldwide box office. Warners also released Shyamalan’s daughter’s movie, The Watchers, from Ishana Shyamalan; that pic grossing over $33M at the global box office.

New details have emerged about M. Night Shyamalan's next project, a supernatural romance book and movie he's collaborating on with best-selling author Nicholas Sparks.

People Magazine got an exclusive sneak peek at the duo's work. First up is the novel Remain, co-created by Sparks and Shyamalan. According to the outlet, Remain follows Tate Donovan, a New York architect recovering from a recent stay in a psychiatric facility after the loss of his sister.

Tate prepares to stay in Cape Cod and design a summer home for his best friend, and that's when he meets a woman who makes him question everything he thought he knew about the world. Remain will be published by Random House and released this fall.

The stellar cast of the film includes Fred Hechinger (Fear Street Part One: 1994), Abby Quinn (Knock at the Cabin), and D’Pharaoh Woon-a-Tai (Reservation Dogs) alongside Bryk and Wolfhard. Pardis Saremi, Rosebud Baker, and Adam Pally also feature in prominent roles. Special features for the digital and physical releases will include audio commentary by Wolfhard and Bryk, along with a blooper reel, a fireside chat, and a few more surprises.

Hell of a Summer will slash onto digital platforms for purchase and rent tomorrow, April 22, before arriving on Blu-ray and DVD on July 8 via Neon.

Described as “Friday the 13th meets Wet Hot American Summer,” the slasher comedy is co-written and co-directed by actors Finn Wolfhard (“Stranger Things”), Billy Bryk (Ghostbusters: Afterlife).

Review: Hell of a Summer marks the directorial debut of actors Finn Wolfhard and Billy Bryk. You can tell both guys, who also wrote and co-star, have a genuine affection for horror staples like Sleepaway Camp (which we featured on 80s Horror Memories) and Friday the 13th and summer camp comedies like Wet Hot American Summer. It’s a mostly painless 88-minute romp that doesn’t do anything to reinvent the genre or even function as a particularly good horror movie or comedy. Still, it goes down easily enough to play well to Wolfhard’s (many) fans.
