It's waifu season, and this is exactly what "Shikimori-san is not just a cutie" delivers. The protagonist is your regular everyday normal guy haunted by hilarious bad luck where literally everything he does goes wrong in hazardous ways - to an extent where he wouldn't even be survivable on his own.

Fortunately (and miraculously) he landed Shikimori-san who's pretty much awesome in everything she does: cute, kind, athletic, smart and a tiny bit jealous. She's immortally in love with him, goes out of her way to please him and keeps him safe from all kinds of harm.

Seriously, half a season into this show that's all there is. There's a small ensemble of side characters with some exaggerated traits whose purpose so far has only been to make Shikimori-san appear even more awesome and desirable. There is no coherent storytelling, no character development of any kind and generally nothing you need to understand or keep track of. If you're looking for a shallow feelgood story that will cater to your waifu fantasy then you're gonna have a good time with this show. If you're looking for something more serious or deep though, then you aren't missing out on anything here.

The best thing about this anime is there is no serious romantic drama , just a sweet love story and supporting friends, if u want to watch a simple rom. Genre anime give it a try.

Wholesome, cute, funny. Shikimori'll steal yo' hearts. Good pilot, looking forward for more episodes and more episodes from Spy x family. I'm not a fan of the reality, outside world. So being lost in anime is the best feeling ever. Better part of my life is watching these, tbh.

It's a wholesome anime which follow Shikimori, Izumi and their friends in an high-school setting, the anime revolves around the relationship between Shikimori and Izumi. Izumi is an typical unlucky boy type who has a pure heart and always tries his best while Shikimori is his girlfriend and tries to be cute but always comes of cool while helping Izumi.

It's just a wholesome anime and you cam just pick any episode and have fun watching but fair warning that it's a typical romcom type theme even though the traits are flipped and pretty shallow if we try to go too deep into the plot. But all the characters extremely likable and it rarely feel like a drag.

I watched this anime and it's very good and heartwarming which contains a simple love story no complex drama and the nature of true love which makes this anime mesmerizing .I want to request the studio(Doga kobo) to produce its second season. Tis anime explains the form of pure heartwarming love and how a couple stays and it's very different than all the other animes and it is very basic that I personally liked about this anime. Second of all the design and the voice of the characters are very good and the shy nature of both them suits in the anime well and this anime needs a second season. Gud.

(10+) I think a younger audience would appreciate this show more than I did, primarily because I could not see one reason the incredibly beautiful, talented, popular, intelligent, and (apparently) super powered female protagonist would do anything but scoff at the male protagonist. Harsh, but he seemed pretty darn average in most respects, AND he also had the absolute worst luck in the world - so the FMC is always stepping in and saving him! Yes, he was kind and upbeat, but it was just a bridge too far for me. Still, if completely mismatched couples are your thing, you'd probably like this!

Shows vulgar side of anime industry where they keep on adding intimacy to the shows focusing on fan service this show is pure Gem so profouding and no hate no fan service and vulgar side like other it gives so pure and simple chilling vibes.

Usually when you get a great anime like this with well drawn characters and good animation. As well as acting and a good love story with a side quirk. It can be a home run!

However... the problem with this anime is the characters are already together yet they exhibit the affections of children that are just friends. It's obvious they're soul mates and madly in love yet they won't even share a kiss?? I know they're in school so I'm not expecting them to goto pound town or anything... because then it'd be more realistic. To find something of love and in between can still be wholesome.

6/10 for what it is. Not bad and worth a watch. Just don't expect anything super emotional.

While the setting is nice, the characters have about 2 personality traits, even though the show is all about them. This is the case in the anime and manga. It's bland and unentertaining. It's not worth anybodies precious time.

The anime is cute and the animation style is also really good. All the side characters in the series get their time in the anime, not anyone is leftout.

The anime is really wholesome and really a gem in the romcom genre because the girl is really a good girl she is pretty aswell and the boy is just perfect for she i hope i get that type of girl in Real life ;)

You must watch it. This anime is wholesome. Shikimori is the type of girl everyone wants. Male protagonist is good too. If you love dressup darling, then you'll love it too. Animation and the characters are awesome. I personally suggest this anime. This waifu will definitely steal your heart.

I'll be the first to admit, I wasn't expecting much from 'Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie'. I mean, the title alone had me thinking it'd be just another fluffy rom-com. But oh boy, was I wrong! This anime snuck up on me and stole my heart.

Izumi's awkwardness hit way too close to home (I'm pretty sure I've had the same 'I'm-a-total-dweeb' moments in high school). And Shikimori? Forget about it! She's the perfect blend of cute, fierce, and loyal. I loved how the anime balanced their relationship, making it feel genuine and earned.

What really got me, though, was the supporting cast. Nekozaki's sass and Inuzuka's... well, Inuzuka's Inuzuka-ness had me dying laughing. And that finale? I was grinning like a total goofball, feeling all the warm fuzzies.

If I have any complaints, it's that the anime could've explored some plot points deeper. But honestly, that's a minor quibble. This anime is a hidden gem that'll leave you feeling all the feels. Give it a shot, and I promise you won't regret it!

I love this anime this anime is the first anime which impress me in my whole life this anime is best according to my opinion I'm really waiting for season 2. Season one is on fire and I know season two is better than season one i want season 2 of this anime and ia watch until I died a boy and girl shikimori and lzumi are dating each other how shikimori protect lzumi i like that because of this i really want season 2 of this anime sooner Im Waiting always Ready to watch season 2. Shikimori not just a cutie is not a anime is a real life experience how all boy need a girl like shikimori to protect him I'm always ready to wait for season two and I'm thinking it comes in 2025 only I hope it's come.

The graphic is so good in this anime and I really liked it and about story it's not complicated and somehow this is a positive thing for it instead negative and really make this a good anime that bringing amazing scenes and peace for you and I think people who watch it will love this anime Character Design is Good too and I think if you watch it you will surly want more episodes to see and really like it I just hope manga get continue again and then more episodes will possible because if I heard it right the has ended and I'm Really hope this get change and manga get continue Anime is too fun and showing a good point of school students and their friendship .about izumi and shikimori, they are really cute.

In my opinion anime watchers needs to watch it.
