Matsya kaand is a thriller web show directed by ajay bhuyan. Here are the positives and negatives:

Performances-the performances are top notch. Ravi dubey has given a clinical performance. His expressions, eyes, dialogue delivery everything was brilliant. Ravi kishan in his limited space has killed it yet again. Piyush mishra acts a father figure and he was equally good. The supporting cast is decent to good.

Background score-the background score looked fresh and unique to be honest. And to my surprise it was not saturated. Only used at places when required. The rap song was equally good specially the lyrics.

Writing-the writing is superb. And it was evident in the screenplay. It never lost its pace. The screenplay was engaging throughout the show despite being 11 episodes long.

Mahabharat and puran connection-the heists rthat are committed are linked so beautifully to our ancient texts and epics. It was so refreshing to see. Why should we borrow from other countries when we have so much depth in our ancient stories? Impressed!!

This is a really engaging and must watch web show. One of the best from mx player. I rate it 10 out of 10.

The story consists of revenge ,scams ,pains,friendships, emotions, super twists , dark scenes, tangy dialogues..the series goes in a decent pace keeping you on your toes about what will happen next..the twists are light and thrilling..direction is very sharp with little old screen play..

BEST thing is they have well connected the story with Mahabharata characters and war..Ravi Dubey has played fantastically with Zoya and Madhur

This Web Series Did Excellent Performance. Specially Ravi Dubey & Piyush Mishra & Zoya Afroz & Ravi Kishan & Madhur Mittal & Rajesh Sharma Did outstanding Acting.

Its a fast paced webseries with 11 beautiful episodes....best thrilling twists...but chacha of wasseypur and ravi kishan just nailed it in a master way🔥🔥🔥👍👍👍👍

Both Ravi Ravi Rocks.. Amazing show.. If you want to see a story something like con man then this web series is must watch for you. Dialogues and script is good and both main characters performed very well . Overall a nice entertaining show and RAVI DUBY .. Welcome back BRO.

Hard to believe that such a nice story is built around with a strong screenplay without violence and nudity.

Anwar Says : The idea and concept of this unique web series is new but it has to compete with Bunty and Bubbly-2 releasing today in theatre. Ajay Bhuinyan has been able to carry the audience with the script though a bit too long . Director has correctly chosen the MATSYA AVTAR out of different avatars of Lord Vishnu .

Performance wise Ravi Dubey and Ravi Kishan are perfect for the characters. Piyush Mishra trains Dubey to be a conman citing different narratives of Mahabharat and each episode has been given a separate name. Though, you have to make extra efforts to understand his voice. Dubey's disguise to 11 faces have been excellently done , thanks to the make up man . The graph of his character from training in the biggest university PRISON to doing KANDS ( scam ) has been smoothly shown.

Some of the scenes were unnecessarily stretched, particularly the betting sequence. Real locations of Meerut , Delhi and Jaipur have been successfully captured. Zoya Afroz looked pretty and Madhur Mittal looked good as allies. Rajesh Mishra is as usual brilliant. I would propose it as watchable on this Friday Evening .

Pretty good stuff.. initial episode quickly sets up the story so is a bit off but rest eas great.. all rhe actors are good to great..all stories are said in non fiction but it's handled good enough.. kept me involved and I watched all episodes in one go which is saying enough.

Due to lack of decent series in Hindi, some decent ones get little too much love, this is the same case here.

Plot ,premise is actually good but some parts are little too convenient for the plot.

Overall its definitely a good watch and you wont get bored.

A good storyline full of thrills ,co-relating the life of its characters to that in Mahabharata . Mind blowing acting by every one ,specially the role of matsya by Ravi dubey, its perfect . But I think the Pandit ji character is slightly weak in its dialogue delivery .Bgm and title rap is also adding to it. Overall it is a fully enjoyable and must watch that too when it is free of cost.

'Matsya Kaand' is a badly written and directed web series. The story plot is so lame and predictable that even a 12 yr old boy can write it. On top of that the screenplay is extremely boring. Did I tell you that there is no action or chase sequences in this web series. So what did they show in this web series, the old 80s bollywood mother and son emotion, a con guy fooling the whole city by replaying a one day cricket match through his cable tv service person who is his accomplice. The story takes place in 2008 and no one in Meerut has heard about internet or cricketing websites. This is the biggest joke in the web series.

Matsya kaand manages to surprise you almost in every episode. Storyline is good played by a equally good cast. The protagonist role is played well by Ravii Dubey and the antagonist role too has been superbly played by Ravi Kishan. The role of Piyush Mishra as a mentor to the protagonist is truly amazing. The way he guides Matsya based on examples from the Mahabharata makes this storytelling really interesting. It is interesting to see how a small town but intelligent boy takes revange for the injustice done to his mother. A must watch !!!

This is an extra ordinary series consisting of super kaands, emotions, magic, logic, and most important lessons of Mahabharata.....it is phenomenal and truly a heart stealer series which one should truely watch....especially the one who is interested in con man #RaviDubey.

Best ever..... revealed the potential of web series in india too much trill n excited......this series going too far full points for acting, script, n dailogues... 9.5/10 my rating points.

One of amazing series, must watch. Every carector played their role. Well directed, it gets you in very first episode and will not let u go until u have finished.

I enjoy full of series and i just love the story and acting of main characters. I don't have any words to describe the story it's mind blowing and awesome .

What could have have been the necessity behind picking the lead actor and actress? Could have picked seasoned actors...I felt the were the only disappointment in a well scripted show with amazing supporting actors...

Series was so good in terms of suspense trill must watch series and acting was so amazing Ravi dubey and ravi kishan both killed it. And story line was also good and screen play too.

A show on con artists, isn't that just wow? Piyush Mishra is one of the most versatile actors bollywood will ever give us! Matsya Kaand is an Indian epic thriller, the con artist concept is unique.

Havent seen such a cheap series ever. All reviews seem to be paid and fake as i couldnt watch beyond 2 episodes. Poor plot, horrible screenplay, terrible direction, terrible execution. Too predictable. Seems like a very low budget C grade series which u will come to know in the very first episode.

Superb actors. Matsya has done a fantastic work and must be appreciated. Just go for it , you will never regret.

I am sure these guys will bring down bollywood like hell.
