Annoying Watchable Disney Laziness

OK, this is just a cheap stop gap again from Disney. Meaningless clip show of moments of the past. A bit like when a series runs out of time so just cuts together a few clips and puts it out.

Saying that, I quite enjoyed them. I could only watch one at a time, but it did offer something a little different. I love John Williams and his soundtracks but having no music in some of these scenes made them better.

This was mainly in the sequels as it actually made me feel some sort of connection to a few of the characters when it was silent. Also, it allows you to notice the beauty of the prequels when they are given more time to show themselves off.

It has a Blade Runner feel to it. I think its something that should be looked at in the future for a Star Wars project. More silence and more time for emotions to hit.

In the sequels for example, the only scene which had any emotional impact was Han's death. A scene which was in complete silence. Just 2 characters talking.

I want more, and I know I shouldn't

We seriously need more of this to appreciate all of the hard work put into the sound of these films (not saying that the amazing score by John Williams and the other talented musicians involved are bad by any means).

This series made me appreciate all of the amazing work put into the saga that much more than I already did and seriously if they were to put out more seasons of this It'd be a whole new experience and I'm all for it.

Star Wars Galaxy of Sounds

This special looked at basically any moment from the Star Wars movies or shows without dialogue or music, just the natural ambiance of the moment. It was actually kind of cool because the score has a certain effect on the scene, it can make it feel much different than it is without a score. That is exactly what this did. Seeing these Star Wars moments without a score made some of the scenes feel a whole lot different.

Since this was made up of just sounds. I rated this based on how well it kept my attention, seeing that I watched each episode without getting bored, I would say it did a pretty good job. There is also nothing to hate about this. It is very unique and gave a different perspective on some of the famous Star Wars scenes.

Lastly, I also liked how this was a tribute to the visual and sound artists who have made Star Wars what it is over the years. It was a nice, heartwarming touch.

What the heck?

This show is the most disspointing thing on Disney+, even worse than the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy. I thought there will be a documentary of how the sounds were made, but no! Just put together some random clips without the amazing Star Wars music and boom, call it a show!

YOU NEED A DIALED IN SOUND SYSTEM!!!!!

I made an account literally just to make this review to emphasize that you need a dedicated surround sound system (at least 5.1 or 7.1+ recommended) that is tweaked to how you like it and then to turn this thing up to 11! Only then will you truly appreciate it for the masterpiece that it is in recognizing the sounds and sites of Star Wars. GOLLY! This is what I use to sound test all of my audio equipment. It is absolutely brilliant. Mad props to whoever edited this together as well It is wonderfully done for the sake of the scenery but in my opinion most importantly the sound. I'm going to guess and not to spite my fellow reviewers here that the bad reviews about this are simply because they may not have understood the purpose of this show. It is to truly let the sound quality and imagery speak for itself by standing alone.
