Berto Colon (Power Book II: Ghost) guest stars as a conman who’s in McCall’s crosshairs on CBS’s The Equalizer season three episode nine. Directed by Paul Holahan from a script by Chris Derrick, episode nine – “Second Chance” – will air on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at 8pm Et/Pt.

Bob Yari, whose credits include “Crash” and “Yellowstone,” will serve as executive producer on “Fireflies at El Mozote,” one of three films set in El Salvador greenlit by Premiere Entertainment, alongside “Toque de Queda” and “The Incredible Journey of Elba.”

Moctesuma Esparza and Premiere CEO Elias Axume are producing all three movies, whose primary language will be English.

Esparza’s credits include “Selena,” starring Jennifer López, “The Ballad of Gregorio Cortéz,” with Edward James Olmos, and “The Milagro Beanfield War,” directed by Robert Redford.

“Fireflies,” set in 1980s El Salvador, follows a rebel group fighting to expose its government’s genocidal policies. Exclusive: Jason Patric (Speed 2) and Cam Gigandet (Twilight) have been set to star in action-thriller movie Shrapnel.

The project will see a former Marine and his old war buddy face off against the Mexican cartel behind the disappearance of his daughter.

Currently in production in the U.S., director is William Kaufman (The Hit List) and script comes from Chad Law and Johnny Walters.

Producers are Elias Axume of Premiere Entertainment and Al Bravo of Al Bravo Films. BondIt Media Capital and Buffalo 8 are also part of the production team. Premiere will handle international sales.

The project marks the fifth collaboration between Premiere and Al Bravo after The Commando with Mickey Rourke and Michael Jai White; Mojave Diamonds with UFC stars Cowboy Cerrone, Chael Sonnen and Rampage Jackson; Blowback with Randy Couture and Cam Gigandet; and Apartment 213 with Cowboy Cerrone.

Premiere Entertainment Group (Peg) has struck a raft of major territory deals on EFM sales title Blowback starring former UFC champion Randy Couture from the Expendables franchise and Twilight franchise regular Cam Gigandet.

The action thriller sees Nick (Gigandet) revenge out for after he is betrayed and left for dead by Jack (Couture) and his crew during a Las Vegas heist. Louis Mandylor, Michele Plaia, Rafael Cabrera, and William McNamara round out the key cast.

Six-time UFC champion Couture (The Expendables franchise; The Scorpion King 2) stars alongside Cam Gigandet (Twilight franchise; Priest) in the story of Nick (Gigandet) who goes after Jack (Couture) after he is betrayed during a Las Vegas heist.

Rounding out the cast are Louis Mandylor, Michele Plaia, Rafael Cabrera, and William McNamara. Production took place entirely in Las Vegas, Nevada.
