Laced Silk is Micha Strecker's feature debut, which he financed and produced by himself with the support of friends and family.
Halfway through the shooting, Micha Strecker, Agnes Bochert, and Richard Leron Bucher had to cross the border to Denmark with a negative Corona test. Micha Strecker later called this moment, waiting for the test result, the most stressful and deceiving moment in the whole shooting, since a positive test of one of them would have potentially shut the movie halfway through.
After the shooting, Micha Strecker traveled to Budapest, Hungary, where his girlfriend and actress Saskia Kovács studied medicine. He edited the whole movie in Budapest.
The day before the first shooting day, Atdhe Krasniqi, who plays Howard Blackford, was traveling to Stuttgart from Denmark but got detailed after the train hit a suicide victim.
Several members of the cast, such as Atdhe Krasniqi, Thomas Karottki, and Sofia Elers knew each other briefly before they came together to shoot Laced Silk.
