Jensen Ackles’ 'Countdown' Loses Top Streaming Spot to 3% Rotten Tomatoes Disaster Movie
Image
Only four episodes remain in the first season of Jensen Ackles' new crime thriller show, which has been in the Prime Video top 10 consistently since its release. However, the recent release of War of the Worlds, the critically maligned alien sci-fi film that currently sits at a 3% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, has sent it further down streaming charts. Countdown has previously been hovering in the #3 spot, behind The Summer I Turned Pretty and Ballard, but it has now also dropped behind War of the Worlds. However, it will likely overtake the Ice Cube-led disaster before its final as it continues to air new episodes. Countdown has also not been a darling among critics — the show sits at a 38% on Rotten Tomatoes. The audience-driven Popcornmeter, though, has settled at a solid 73%.

Ackles may be the biggest star in Countdown, but the show also features plenty of other notable names to tell its story,...

'Countdown' Creator Reveals Hopes of Future Seasons on Amazon Prime Video
Image
With each new action thriller series, Amazon is no doubt chasing that Reacher dragon. While the latest attempt did not quite reach the same heights as the adventures of Alan Ritchson’s nomadic avenger (and even proved to be deeply divisive among critics and audiences), Prime Video’s newest action hero has a bright future ahead of him, according to the show’s creator.

Derek Haas, the creator and writer behind this year’s Countdown, has declared his hopes and excitement over the future of the action series, which finds Supernatural and The Boys star Jensen Ackles leading the way as a maverick undercover LAPD officer who finds himself at the center of a dark conspiracy. And the clock is ticking.

“I’m feeling good. I haven’t done streaming before, so kind of all of the analytics are new. It’s different from when I was doing network and you knew the next morning,...

'Countdown' Star Jensen Ackles Talks Joining Dcu as Next Batman
Image
As audiences await several more years for Robert Pattinson to return as the Caped Crusader in Matt Reeves' The Batman, the Dcu will soon introduce a brand-new version of the iconic superhero. James Gunn has been adamant that a new actor will join his rebooted universe in Brave and the Bold, and while an actor has not been chosen, Reacher star Alan Ritchson has been a fan-favorite choice. However, another recent Amazon action hero has joined the conversation, and he has a history of playing Batman-related DC characters.

During an interview with Collider, Countdown star Jensen Ackles talked about possibly joining the Dcu to take on the iconic mantle of Batman. He puts his hat in the casting ring, stating that he would attempt to bring something "truly unique" to his version of the character, which has received numerous live-action interpretations in the past few decades. Ackles previously voiced Jason Todd...

4 Hulu and FX shows from 2024 that didn't meet our expectations
Image
There's been some fan-favorite shows to come out of 2024 on the many streamers and networks we've got, including Hulu and FX. But of course, there's also going to be ones that aren't as enjoyable and we feel like shouldn't have happened. It's normal with so many options and so many shows produced, there's going to be some bad apples, as they say. Here's 4 Hulu and FX shows from 2024 that didn't meet our expectations.

While Elisabeth Moss has absolutely shined in The Handmaid's Tale over the years and also taken on some impressive roles, unfortunately The Veil on Hulu just wasn't entertaining for me. As Deadline reports, F Marry Kill reached some digital stores and PVOD on December 6th, then disappeared a few hours later. So if you managed to catch the movie during that brief window last Friday – congratulations, you got a special sneak peek! If you didn’t catch it, there’s still three months left to wait for it.
