Initially started with some unwanted scenes which was like where this movie heading but continued to watched and thrilled the way movie progressed.
Hats off to the director for portraying the daily struggles of common people like the shoe store owner, flower seller etc.
Iswarya Rajesh nailed her character and proved again she is a real bet in this industry.
Selva raghavan selects the best movies storyline and proved again in this movie. Although his face is not shown for several minutes into the movie but his voice made the magic increasing the thriller factor.
Music during the last 30 minutes was too good.
Overall a must watch movie.

Well what can I say about Farhana..started off as a slow, ordinary movie and then it zooms off like a rocket! Farhana is story of a housewife who joins a call centre to earn a livelihood. When she moves to a new department which involved romantic chats with strangers, she struggles initially but was saved when she meets Dhaya. The long conversations with Dhaya was poetic and filled with love. As the viewer is lulled into a breezy romance, the story abruptly changes shade into a dark thriller and picks up pace. The event which leads to this change was when Farhana and Dhaya make plans to meet.
Loved the way how the director manages to mold the movie into different genres with ease. Kudos to Nelson Venkatesan and his story-telling & direction. Thoroughly enjoyed this movie!

At first, it felt like a feminist film, where woman typically revolt against the patriarchy, but till the interval it popped like a bubble, and took a sold U-turn, I guess the movie crew understood the worth of their heads, lol
Anyway, this movie makes absolutely no sense, the plot is baseless, a woman from a typical Muslim family tries to earn a living but is not allowed by her typical society, still, she makes it somehow, being so submissive, shy, still cracks a call center interview, but she was not happy so she tried next step by joining an adult call center for better pay... Overall it all felt like a joke.
Farhana is a thriller drama film written and directed by Nelson Venkatesan. The film stars Aishwarya Rajesh, Jithan Ramesh and Selvaraghavan.
Middle-class mother Farhana takes a call centre job due to her financial situation. Although this gives her freedom, it also leads her into a web of danger.
This film has an entertaining plot but due to novice and immature approach the film turns out to be some family drama or some episode of any crime TV show.
The start of the film is good and the first part of the film is very impressive and the film will give you a glimpse of a great thriller film in making but as the film progresses and gets towards it's climax the film starts turning into some random family drama film.
Acting in the film is average. Selvaraghavan was impressive till the time he was on phone. Jithan Ramesh was impressive. Aishwarya Rajesh tried too hard but failed to impress.
Screenplay of the film is also bad and it seems that the film was unnecessarily stretched. The climax of the film is disappointing.
Overall a promising plot ruined because of immature approach.

Let's admit, the film did not start on a good note, it was actually unappealing that it opened up with an intimate scene, and we were just like 'what's this???'
But we're so glad we still gave it a chance!
The exciting element of the story was that the mystery caller's face was never seen throughout and the fact that Farhana was muslim, it added more flavor as she had to keep up with her traditional lifestyle at home while taking on a different personality at work.
There were various characters (e.g. Farhana's hubby, Farhana's male colleague, etc) who kept the story very intriguing😃
We applaud the editor, V. J. Sabu Joseph, who worked meticulously well to build up the tension. He was playing with our emotions as we began to fear for Farhana, and the fast-paced score tortured us with suspense.
Bravo to Nelson, the director who guided the scenario to deliver a thrilling experience
The film sent a needed message to archaic and conservative families to just relax, people can still remain decent as they move with the times
A tiny weeny weeny negative: someone was sprayed with a pepper spray and the person just quickly rubbed his eyes and it was over😳
The name Farhana means "Joyful, cheerful, glad'" and this was the inner personality she was only able to discover when she got a job and began to provide for her family.
In a way, we felt like the name also meant that it's not because I'm a happy and cheerful woman that you should take advantage of me or mistake my kindness for weakness.
