What an experience to watch this in cinema

This City is a Battlefield presents the drama behind the war. This film explores themes such as struggle, colonization, love, and betrayal. The plot is a bit different from Mouly Surya's previous films, this film feels easier to enjoy, but the content is still not too light. Although the focus of the drama is a lot, but it is delivered neatly and evenly. In addition, this film also has elements of war action that are quite brutal and tense, and a natural but fitting comedy to lighten the atmosphere. The background of each character is interesting to explore further, but this is already very good. Still with its slow pacing, but still enjoyable until the end of the film. We are also spoiled with cinematography where every placement and movement of the camera is very beautiful, even though the background is quite eerie. The production design looks so authentic and aesthetic. Solid and detailed sound design. The music that accompanied the film is very pleasant to listen to. Each actor is very good at playing their roles. Overall, once again this is a work with something fresh.

I give this, 9.6/10.
