I've been a big fan of the series, and the movie is a perfect bridge between the 2nd and upcoming 3rd season. Rimuru is the best protagonist possible. His story is a common one; An overpowered main character who easily solves problems. What makes this so compelling is not what he does, but the character he displays. Rimuru helps people because he wants to, but he also encourages others to step up and become better people by example. He succeeds because he empowers others, and is trusted and loved by his friends, allies, and subordinates. Without knowing the background of the character and his friends, no one could possibly understand how deeply the relationships built over time and through suffering dictate the flow of the story. Sadly, I can't understand why the only other review posted is by someone who never bothered to watch the series. Ill admit that the larger themes and fun might not be obvious under those circumstances. The fans can do better!

I was surprised that the movie is so good and I loved it. The animations are as good as the music . The characters are well written and the development of them is really good. The movie has some funny and sad and combative scenes. But I would recommend watching the series first, how many jokes you only understand after watching the series. The jokes in the films are sometimes easy to see, or sometimes they're in the background. I loved the series and it was good too but the movie is much much better. I would recommend watching the film in a group who have watched the series or love anime but you can also watch it alone.
All over this and i still can't get enough of this anime, it's like a fountain that has beautiful maiden i still get invited to it, hahaha not really though is more like the story yes mainly like half of the animes had this reincarnation vibe but the cache here is the slime being so fortunate that he actually found the one thing dreaded by every nation to be his friend, typical anime setting the rest is just there to keep you entertained throughout the whole anime mostly the comedy is primary reason but the show itself has some elements that's why I just stick with. Demon's are something else entirely when it comes to mischief and play, they'll hurt anyone for the sake of fun but one monster stands out to make a difference his name. Just keeping my fingers crossed for more is all.
I was really quite disappointed with this rather dryly animated fantasy adventure. It all starts when poor old "Mikami" gets himself murdered and is reincarnated in another world where he is thrust into a maelstrom of adventures centring around the beautiful, but mysterious, Queen "Towa" of the small kingdom of "Raja". She has been served loyally for many years by the ogre warrior "Hiro" who now has his work cut out for him when she falls ill and their water supply appears to have become distinctly malignant! His travels for an answer unite him with our recently arrived "Rimuru" who has already attained the status of demon lord and now they must strive to get to source of this malevolent curse in time. I suppose my biggest problem with this, is that the characterisations are drawn entirely from the preceding series'. If you don't know about them (I didn't) then much of this takes quite a while to get straight in your mind; who's who, etc. That's a shame, because as a well produced stand-alone movie, it ought to have acknowledged that new viewers, less familiar viewers, might want to join in. Yasuhito Kikuchi makes no such effort and so, largely devoid of character development, I felt rather out in the cold watching with little sense of involvement. It's still quite a passable adventure story, and there is plenty of action - but I felt a little as if I was watching through the (closed) shop window.
In 'That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: The Movie - Scarlet Bond', viewers are introduced to new characters as the plot unfolds, offering a storyline that may feel like a longer version of a typical episode from the show. The movie delivers a mix of drama, deception, humor, and Rimuru's signature solution to most problems: devouring everything in sight. Continuing from the events of the Second Season, the narrative of 'That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond' centers around Hiiro, the presumed-dead brother of Benimaru, and his companions, who find themselves entangled with a cursed princess, demons, and a flurry of action-packed sequences. With its gripping storyline and compelling characters, Some fans may find that The absence of a cohesive narrative structure and sufficient character development may not initially appear to be a critical flaw for an anime spinoff, particularly for a series like "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime," which has already established its unique and ever-evolving conceptual eccentricities over two seasons. However, in "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond," the various sub-plots fail to coalesce as effectively as they typically do in the show. If you're new to the series, you might find yourself underwhelmed by this movie, as it lacks the unexpected twists, comedic gags, and action sequences necessary to sustain its convoluted plot. But over all i did Like it and would recommend it to People Once again, "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond" boasts stunning artwork and features a superb Japanese voice cast, advocating for subs over dubs. Despite its narrative shortcomings, the movie offers an engaging visual experience and top-notch voice performances that fans of the series will undoubtedly appreciate.
