Are We There Yet?

Essence Atkins character was so miserable it made the show almost unbearable to watch. She was super controlling, mean, uncompromising, difficult, and at times disloyal to Nick. (Terry Crews) She showed more loyalty to her friend than her marriage. Nothing at all like Nia Long's character in the original movie. Terry Crews character, Nick, was such a pushover. He always gave into Suzanne's demands and just overall seemed to have no backbone AT ALL which again went against the original movie character. Kevin, GiGi, Martin, Troy, and Marilyn kept the show interesting but overall the show was so much better once they got rid of Suzanne. She was AWFUL.
