Lulu and the Electric Dreamboat

1 review
7/10

Perfectly Paced

I have to say that whilst watching Lulu I found it very easy to forget about the budget levels for this movie and just get absored into the cast, the writing and the general quality of the film.

There is a long running narrative throughout the entire movie focussed around the main character which definitely leads to a suggested ending. However it does veer from what you may suspect will end in tragedy without betraying the characters or their respective journeys.

I feel the use of some "catch phrase jokes" are done to a perfect degree without being under or over used and the clear character development throughout the movie was nice to follow as well.

Don't be fooled by my review though, this isn't a sad story turned happy or a bad story turned good. Lulu and the electric dreamboat portrays the lives, and at the very least thoughts, that a lot of people can relate too, even if they're of a different genre (not just musically).

Ultimately the movie gives hope without presenting unlikely outcomes and portrayals of movie ending happiness. It ends in a way that ends the story, but also leaves potential for the viewer to make their own ideas on how each character's journey went on.
