Dirty, Difficult, Dangerous

The love story which is in the center of this picture reflects the tension between immigrants and refugees in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. While the protagonists live their passionate romance they also have to deal with the struggles of their everyday lives trying to survive as they can while facing xenophobia from people around them. It could sound like a cliche, but their love and dream of freedom holds them together, makes them stronger and gives them power to overcome the impossible - here represented by illness that turns human body into metal. What makes this plot believable is the background of this film, which is the real battlefield in Lebanon/Syria. I must also point out the short runtime of this picture, which is appropriate and suitable for this kind of story.
