Heidi N Closet Explains Why She Quit ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars’ Season 8
Image
Heidi N Closet shocked fans when she quit RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 8. Her departure came in Episode 5 as the queens prepared for the post-Snatch Game of Love runway. Heidi tells TV Insider that while it was a split decision, it’s not one she regrets. Here, she breaks down her decision to leave the competition early. It’s not very often that someone elects to leave Drag Race. You left in the heat of the moment during a Werk Room fight. Can you explain what you were feeling in that moment? Heidi N Closet: In that moment of time, I was hurt with what was happening between me and Kahanna. And then when Kandy had jumped in, which I feel like was very opportunistic, it took me aback and I felt like I was caught off guard. If anything I was kind of hurt, because I saw...

Image
Wattpad Webtoon Studios, the entertainment arm of the user-generated fiction and comics entertainment outfit, and Italy’s Leone Film Group have announced two new adaptations based on hit young-adult Wattpad novels.

Taiwan-based author Ann Rae’s romantic mystery “The Locker Exchange,” which is set in a U.S. high school and has over 26 million reads globally on the Wattpad platform, is set to become an English and Italian-language feature film. And “Love Me, Love Me” by Italian writer Stefania S, which has scored 12 million reads in Italy, is to be adapted into an Italian-language series by Leone’s Lotus Production unit.

The two new adaptations expand on an existing deal that Leone inked last year to co-develop a slate of films for the Italian and international marketplace based on original fiction stories from Wattpad. That pact came after the two companies partnered to make a movie based on Blair Holden...

Kimberley Sustad and Brooks Darnell star in this cute Hallmark original about a game designer named Audrey and a project manager named Matthew who have to get past their differences to deliver a new game in record time.

We touched base with Kimberley to get the scoop on the movie, step back in time to discuss a little Christmas magic, and talk about her love of writing and acting.

Please enjoy the interview, which has been edited for content and clarity.

So before we talk about Game of Love, we have to revisit Christmas to talk about Three Wise Men and a Baby. I had no idea that you and Paul Campbell were writing partners.

Yeah, we are. That was a lot of fun. They're like The Beatles now, those three boys.

Hulu New Releases: February 2023
Image
It feels just like last month we were complimenting Hulu on its true crime offerings. Well, with its list of new releases for February 2023, Hulu is staying in the true crime lane. Suppose that’ll happen when you push back the release date of a series or two.

February sees the arrival of three notable true crime series on Hulu. Taiwan Crime Stories premieres on Feb. 1 and presents four true tales from Taiwan’s criminal “dark underbelly.” That will be followed by ABC News Studios’ Killing County on Feb. 3. That three-episode series ponders the question “what happens when police kill?” The most interesting true crime offering premieres on Feb. 9. That’s when Stolen Youth: Inside the Cult at Sarah Lawrence College shares its four-episode saga of Larry Ray and the young college students he victimized.

As far as non true crime offerings go, the third and final season of Hulu...
