Coach Prime ain't NEW to this... He's TRUE to this!

Finally, the world is seeing Coach in all forms, not just his "Primetime" persona. This documentary is just a tiny portion of his coaching history. He's been a consistently winning coach since some of these young men were in elementary school.

I like that we get to experience his interactions with players, coaches, staff, the community, and anyone else surrounding the program! You can tell Coach is on a mission and is bringing the faithful along with him.

For many of us who have watched his "Barstool Sports" documentary, followed the socials, and kept up with everything Jackson State football, THIS is just that continuation of the peek behind the curtain we've been craving!

    Coach Prime= Blockbuster

Coach Prime isn't your typical sports documentary. It's not about stats. It's not just about the scoreboard. It's about Deion Sanders - aka Prime Time - and how he took a mission, wrapped it in swagger, discipline, faith, and authenticity, and flipped the whole college football world on its damn head.

Whether it's at Jackson State University or the transition to Colorado, what Coach Prime documents is a cultural shift in motion - a man using his name, his influence, and his belief in God and hard truth to uplift young Black men and challenge the status quo in a sport built on structure and resistance to change.

Deion Sanders is magnetic. You feel it through the screen. He doesn't coach with ego - he coaches with conviction. He doesn't care if you're a 5-star recruit or a walk-on. He's here to develop men, not just athletes. Every practice, every meeting, every locker room speech is a sermon and a life lesson. And when he says, "I'm not hard to find," he's damn right - because he never hides from the spotlight, the pressure, or the pain.

But it's not all speeches and bravado. Coach Prime doesn't shy away from the brutal realities these young athletes face - from poverty to injury, from doubt to systemic disrespect. The emotional weight is real. You see players grappling with expectations that are bigger than football. And you see how Deion meets them there, not with pity, but with standards. He demands greatness, but he walks with you every step of the way.

You also get a front-row seat to what it means to carry the torch for an HBCU program like Jackson State, bringing attention, funding, and dignity to a space that's been underappreciated for too long. And when he shifts to Colorado, it's not selling out - it's leveling up, taking that same fire and using a bigger platform to keep rewriting the damn narrative.

His sons - Shedeur Sanders and Shilo Sanders - are also featured with depth and honesty. It's not just "nepotism hype." These are young men under enormous pressure, trying to prove themselves in their own right while carrying the Sanders legacy. And Deion doesn't baby them. He holds them even more accountable. That's real fatherhood in real time.

The cinematography? Clean and crisp. The pacing? Never drags. The emotional beats? Hit hard. Whether it's the vulnerability during his health scare (losing toes and nearly losing his leg), or the intensity of a game day, the doc blends raw humanity with Prime's unshakable energy. The editing team knows when to let moments breathe - and when to hit you with the hype.

10/10 Because Coach Prime is bigger than football. It's bigger than Deion. It's about culture, faith, change, and choosing to show up every single day when the world expects you to fail.

If you've ever doubted that belief, swagger, discipline, and God could all live in one man - this doc will prove you wrong. It's not just a highlight reel. It's a movement.

Coach Prime didn't just change the game. He changed the meaning of the game.

    Primetime in Full Effect

What you have hear is an absolute beauty of a documentary type series with style like only Coach Prime can give. It truly gets to the heart of being there for God, family, community, and football. As a sports person and a coach myself - I love it!

Coach Prime has had all of the accolades throughout his career and he truly didn't need to take on the challenges of coaching high school when he and certainly not college, but he is a blessing to show the love he has for people and especially his players. I think it is incredible what he has given back to the programs he has been a part of and to do it with class and in only a way he can!

It's a wonderful series and really hits home! Coach Prime is ultimately a people person - a gem!

    Loved It!

First - just from a football, and story context - it's a great show, engaging from start to finish. It brings some long overdue attention to HBCUs - and to the city of Jackson itself. Then beyond that - I have a whole new respect for Deion Sanders! I'm a life long Cowboys fan, and I remember Deion well - of course, he was a good player - and I enjoyed his time with the Cowboys, but he did always come across as a bit of a show boat. WOW - Deion, has become a heck of a man! He is a true leader to the core. And he definitely leads by example. Great show - best of luck to Deion and his team in Colorado, and best of wishes to Jackson, MS.
