Pulls you in from the start

I have a hard time getting into podcasts at times, but I got sucked into this one right away. I would listen to it at bedtime(because of course you should listen to creepy things then), and couldn't wait for the next episodes. I have listened to it fully twice now. Can't wait for the next season!! Thank you Aaron Mahnke and Lauren Shippen, and of course Misha and the rest of the cast.🙌🙌

Story and character that just draw you in

My neurodivergent brain doesn't like to just listen to stories, so podcasts never really were an option for me. Until Bridgewater came along.

The incredible cast and a compelling story got me hooked right from the first episode. The episode length was just exact right to keep me concentrated, and the sound design really added to the feeling of being a part of the story as it unfolded. To think that everything was recorded during the pandemic via Zoom!

Can't wait for the second season!

Spooky with an awesome cast!

I'm so excited for season two of this podcast. This spooky story gripped attention from episode one and held it right up until the last action packed episode. Love all the characters, especially Vipin. But everyone is fantastic!

Excellent podcast!

I don't normally listen to fiction podcasts but the acting on this podcast is so good, you don't need to see what's going on because they do such a good job of making you feel it. Excellent work to everyone involved!

Cozy spooky story!

I made a habit of making a fire in the fireplace and listening to 2 or 3 episodes at a time this past fall. It was such a great spooky story and the actors are amazing! The cliffhanger is killing me and I can't wait for the next season!

This podcast will suck you in.

Bridgewater is the first podcast I ever listened to all the way through. From the very first episode you just get pulled in. And you can't go wrong with Misha Collins as Jeremy Bradshaw. The cast does a phenomenal job recording this especially from all different places. I guess they couldn't fit everyone in Rich's closet.

A podcast, not a tv show.

This is a pretty good fiction podcast, despite being labeled as a tv show.

Really enjoyable

I'm generally not good with podcasts because my adhd makes it hard for me to keep focus when listening. This, however, is more like audio theatre and it works really well for me. It's interesting enough, it has the drama that keeps me listening and the added environment sounds also helps me keep focus.

The characters are interesting, I particular like Anne and Vipin. Professor Bradshaw, voiced wonderfully by Misha Collins, is of course great too.

I love it and can't wait for the next season!

Exceptionally well done

I really enjoyed listening to this podcast. It has a fun plot and is well-acted. I joined it because I'm a big fan of Misha Collins. I'm glad I did.

Good story line, obnoxious characters

Bridgewater is an excellent Halloween season podcast to dive into. There will be a season 2 in 2022 according to Aaron Mahnke and I look forward to listening to it. Hopefully there will be a little less of the petty arguments that make up about 74% of this series. Ann is the superior of the two main characters... Although her favorite phrase is to self-righteously tell everyone else "you don't get to be" angry/scared/sorry/whatever. It feels like every 5 minutes she's screaming at another character that they aren't allowed to feel a certain way. But she's 10 times better than the main character professor Bradshaw. Dear lord, what an absolute idiot. I like the voice actor, but I just kept hoping the character would get taken by one of the cults. Most of the secondary characters are very interesting. I would love to hear more about the teacher's assistant Vippin (no idea how it's spelled but that's how they say his name) and Olivia (I think that's her name--the one who makes "great grilled cheese sandwiches" lol). Hopefully they have a bigger role in season 2. Also, having Nathan Fillion in any production is always a plus.

This podcast is só good!

I normally never ever write reviews on series or episodes or the likes, because I feel nobody is sitting around waiting on my opinion. However, this podcast is such a delight to listen to!

The story is compelling and sucks you in from the first minute. The actors are really bringing their a-game, painting a clear picture in my head how it all would look if this was a television show. I came to the podcast because I really like Misha Collins and oh boy is he wonderful! The others are awesome too, with some of my favorite actors as the cherry on top. They all bring such depth and emotion to the characters and I am totally invested in the story.

I can't wait for the next episode!

Immersive Experience

This podcast is wonderful, with a new twist each week. As the story has unfolded, and we have met new, diverse characters, the scenes are set so immersively that there is no confusion about whose voice is whose. The cast is awesome and their emotions bleed onto the listener, so that we feel what the characters are feeling, whether that be joy, terror, confusion, bewilderment, concern,or love. Misha Collins, as Jeremy, has the same reactions to the story's events that a "regular" person would have. As he learns more about the unexplainable situations, his disbelief is our own. I look forward to each week's episode and have recommended it to all my friends. Excellent work, Aaron Mahnke and Lauren Shippen!

LOVE LOVE LOVE

I loved every second of this podcast. It was entertaining, super creepy, and well acted. I could not stop listening to it. The mystery was new and fantastic and the ending of season 1 (season 2 next year!!!) was satisfying but also left me with more questions. But again, season 2 is coming so YAY! This podcast is original and the episodes leave you wanting more to the point that you could spend an entire day binging the whole first season. I literally cannot say enough good things about this. And if I may, should you want to add to the creepiness and the atmosphere - put on a jacket, grab your ear buds/air pods/headphones, and go for a walk right around sunset. Preferably near woods. Preferably with no one around. Trust me. It made the experience that much more fun. Can't wait for season 2!!!

Excellent podcast needs work on pronunciation

If you are going to write a story based in SE MA then you should really get the town names correct. ASS-O-net is pronounced Uh-s-O-net.

Funny when I met my wife 33 years ago she asked the same thing.

Folklore Centered Epic

This podcast is great and I loved listening to the brilliant voice acting and writing! Misha Collins's voice acting is fantastic and he does this story absolute justice; bringing it to life in a way few can. The writing and folklore is incredibly interesting and makes you want to know more immediately. The cliffhangers at the end of episodes leaves you on the edge of your seat, eagerly waiting for the next part of this amazingly story. I The story and setting interest and pull you in quickly and you're along for the ride with Jeremy since the start. Folklore will always be fascinating to learn about and this story is truly like a modern epic. Would definitely recommend.
