“Best chat wheel I have ever seen implemented”: Helldivers 2 Players Debate on the Game’s Most Overlooked Detail
Image
Helldivers 2 is currently one of the most popular co-op games in the world, and it’s all because of its chaotic gameplay and immersive experience. Arrowhead Game Studios has done a great job of implementing a perfect co-op experience, but what makes the game special is its little details. Despite not having any cutscenes, the game does a great job of storytelling with its maps and small details. The game is full of details, to the point where players have to debate on social media to decide which detail is the most overlooked.

Helldivers 2 is a great example of how prioritising players’ feedback can create an exceptional game. The game’s popularity has grown so much that Sony has decided to narrate the game’s lore in a different medium.

Helldivers Are in a Full-Blown Existential Crisis, as the Eagle-1 Baddie Might Not Even Be Real
Image
The Helldivers 2 community has survived bot invasions, bug swarms, and even squid mind control. But nothing prepared Super Earth’s finest for the latest threat to managed democracy: a Reddit post questioning whether their beloved Eagle-1 pilot actually exists.

For those out of the loop, the community has spent months thirsting over the unseen Eagle-1 pilot who delivers devastating airstrikes with sultry voice lines. This obsession spawned the “Goondivers” phenomenon, complete with fan art depicting her as jealous anime girlfriends and protective waifus.

Now one heretical Helldiver is suggesting it might all be prerecorded dialogue. The absolute audacity.

The meme that broke a thousand hearts

This blasphemous theory hits different when you’ve spent months building your entire emotional support system around Eagle-1’s voice. The community has collectively decided she’s real, she cares about us, and she definitely got jealous when we started gushing over those adorable Seaf soldiers.

Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra Release Date and How to Download: All You Need to Know
Image
The Dragon Ball franchise is vast, extending its media beyond manga and anime adaptations. The fandom has enough entertainment to last decades, and the series will probably still go strong once you’ve finished exploring every inch.

Dragon Ball Daima was its most recent addition, which ended in February 2025, with a unique but strong flavor of the anime adaptation. However, soon enough, fans will have something else to fill that void. Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra is the upcoming video game, but the first that isn’t story-oriented.

It was formerly known as Dragon Ball Project: Multi, but only recently revealed its actual title on 6th June, 2025. Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra abandons the typical storyline and involves a multiplayer online team-based 4v4 battle, with several platforms to play on.

Helldivers 2’s Latest Major Order Pulls off a StarCraft Throwback in the Best Way Possible
Image
Just as Helldivers were gearing up to wipe out the last Illuminate holdouts after their invasion, a nightmare has burst from below, massive Terminid outbreaks have happened across various Super Earth cities. It’s chaos. It’s war. It’s beautiful.

And right in the middle of all this madness, players started connecting the dots to one of the most beloved battles in Rts history: StarCraft II’s Battle of Korhal. The parallels are loud, brutal, and unmistakable. This isn’t just an invasion; it’s an homage that hits harder than an orbital strike.

Helldivers 2 throws justice out the airlock as Terminids hit home

The latest Major Order started like any other: “Hunt down the Illuminate. Finish what we started.” Easy, right? Wrong. Just as Helldivers rallied to squash their final holdouts, the devs dropped a tactical nuke of a lore bomb.

Helldivers 2 Wins Funniest Patch Note Award With Latest Update
Image
The Ministry of Humanity has spoken, and apparently, they’ve been taking comedy writing classes between sessions of spreading managed democracy across the galaxy. Helldivers 2′s latest patch dropped yesterday with changes that had the community rolling on the floor faster than a Helldiver dodging a Charger.

Arrowhead has, yet again, proven that patch notes don’t have to be boring corporate speak. Sometimes, they can be absolute works of art that perfectly capture the satirical spirit of Super Earth’s finest propaganda machine.

The Ministry of Humanity’s safety concerns reach new heights

The community has been begging for the ability to use stims while diving for almost as long as the game’s been out. It’s one of those quality-of-life improvements that seems obvious once you think about it.

The Squids Are Done – Helldivers 2’s Latest Patch Knocks the Illuminate off Their Perch
Image
Helldivers 2 just got a new update, and in the wake of the wreck that the Illuminate made of Super Earth, it seems like Arrowhead Game Studios is giving the squids a small nerf, or a buff, kind of. Released today, we have a small but meaningful update that brings many changes.

But it’s not just nerfs to the squids, we’re also getting buffs for some weapons and armor passives, and also the long-awaited change to stims. Here’s everything you need to know about the Helldivers 2 Patch 01.003.101 update.

Helldivers 2 is nerfing the Illuminate after their invasion

The highlight of patch 01.003.101 is undoubtedly the nerf to the Illuminate enemies. Harvesters have had their health adjusted to be more vulnerable to anti-tank weaponry, especially when targeting their heads. Overseers now spawn less frequently during Prevent Invasion Foothold missions but occasionally make surprise appearances via drop ships for “variety,” according to Arrowhead.

"I've Never Seen Such Brutality" A Blue Shell In Mario Kart World Has Fans Fuming Over Disastrous Timing
Image
A Mario Kart Worldplayer recently shared their terrible luck with a blue shell, prompting a discussion about the drawbacks of being in first place. Other players have also begun questioning whether the latest Mario Kart game is balanced too heavily towards luck as opposed to skill. Blue shells have been part of the series since Mario Kart 64, but some players are now wondering if Mario Kart World is too hard on the leader.

This discussion started in a Reddit thread where user TheIronicTea posted a video of their misfortune titled "Most infuriating blue shell so far." The video shows them being hit by a blue shell while boosting up a ramp, causing them to lose momentum. The post not only prompted discussion about blue shells, with one user, Wayanoru, commenting that they've "never seen such brutality" in Mario Kart before.

“Own thing with its own flavor”: The Outer Worlds 2 Is Crushing the Colony Design Helldivers 2 Fans Desperately Want
Image
The Outer Worlds 2 Direct that followed today’s stellar Xbox Games Showcase basically delivered a masterclass in everything Arrowhead Game Studios should be taking notes on. Obsidian Entertainment’s satirical space RPG sequel showcased something that ought to have Helldivers 2 fans salivating with envy.

While democracy-spreading soldiers have been complaining about cookie-cutter colonies across every liberated planet, Obsidian just demonstrated how to make each world feel genuinely unique. The timing couldn’t be more perfect for some friendly competition between space-faring franchises.

The Outer Worlds 2 solves what Helldivers 2 can’t figure out

The contrast between the two games’ approaches to world design has never been more obvious. Recent Helldivers 2 community discussions have been flooded with complaints about how every colony looks identical regardless of which planet you’re liberating. Same prefab structures, same layouts, same boring corporate architecture everywhere.

Cartoon Network Has Great News for Dragon Ball Fans
Image
For fans of Dragon Ball, the series in all its forms has been a mainstay on Cartoon Network's Toonami programming block almost since its inception in 1997. First beginning with the showing of Dragon Ball Z in '97, it then added Dragon Ball to the lineup in 2001, Dragon Ball Gt in 2005 and Dragon Ball Super in 2017. Even when there were no new episodes to air, Toonami has always made space to keep some form of Dragon Ball in the programming rotation, as it is one of the most popular series to appear on block, as well as one that is associated strongly with Toonami for many fans.

In the last few months, Dragon Ball has been largely absent from Toonami after a stretch of airing mostly Dragon Ball Z Kai reruns. However, Toonami is now set to bring the series back to its programming block with the premiere of Dragon Ball Daima on Saturday,...

Find Out What’s Included in the Helldivers 2 Force of Law Warbond, Releasing June 12
Image
Helldivers 2 frequently releases content in the form of Warbonds, which can be best compared to a battle pass. Warbonds have players progressing through objectives to progressively unlock rewards by spending certain Medals against them, at regular intervals. These are a permanent addition to the game.

As part of its ongoing campaign, Arrowhead Game Studios has revealed the ‘Force of Law’ Hellbond, which releases June 12, 2025. You can find out more about this particular Hellbond, including its contents, in the sections below.

Everything included in the Force of Law Helldivers 2 warbond

The Helldivers 2 RoboCop Armor Paves the Way for a Super Earth Police Force Warbond and ‘Traitor-Hunter’ Mission Mode
Image
Arrowhead Game Studios has announced a brand new Warbond for Helldivers 2, which will remind players of two iconic fictional characters: RoboCop and Judge Dredd. If it’s still not clear, the Warbond is titled “Force of Law,” and it lets players cosplay as police officers instead of soldiers.

Clearly, this is an homage to Judge Dredd and RoboCop, as both of these characters were law enforcement officers. But what’s the point of having police-themed armor if the game doesn’t have any police-related missions? Arrowhead can use this perfect opportunity to introduce a brand new type of mission that allows players to hunt down traitors or fight crime, giving players a break from Illuminate, Automatons, and Terminids.

Intriguing Helldivers 2 Fan Theory Hints at Hidden Warbond Lore
Image
The squids might have retreated to their homeworld with their tentacles between their legs, but the real story is just beginning to unfold in Helldivers 2. Community theorists have been connecting dots that High Command probably didn’t expect anyone to notice, and honestly? Their detective work puts most investigative journalists to shame.

What started as innocent speculation about resource scarcity has transformed into a full-blown conspiracy theory that actually makes sense. The latest “Force of Law” warbond announcement just handed these theorists the smoking gun they needed to prove their point.

Super Earth’s equipment philosophy isn’t random at all. Every warbond tells a story, and that story is getting darker by the release.

Dragon Ball Super's Return Is More Unlikely Than Ever Before According to a Disappointing New Report
Image
Dragon Ball Super has been going through an excruciating indefinite hiatus, with only one chapter having been released in the past year. Now, it's looking like Dragon Ball Super might be on the back burner for a while longer, thanks to a new report about Toyotaro.

Toyotaro is the artist of Dragon Ball Super, and the presumptive successor to Akira Toriyama, following his tragic passing in 2024. Toyotaro previously worked with Toriyama on Super, and has had a hand in guiding the story of the manga for years. He has released one chapter since Toriyama's death, a prequel to Super Hero featuring material that Toriyama created which didn't make it into the film. The story hasn't progressed at all since the chapter released just after Toriyama passed away, and fans are dying to know when (or even if) Dragon Ball Super will return.

New Helldivers 2 Warbond Has An Item Guaranteed To Make Your Squad Mad
Image
A new Premium Warbond has been announced for Helldivers 2, and one of the included items may increase your risk of accidentally taking out your fellow Helldivers. The Second Galactic War has been heating up recently with the Battle for Super Earth, which saw the deployment of the beloved Seaf infantry into the field, but developer Arrowhead Game Studios is already looking ahead to a new Warbond.

The Helldivers 2 YouTube channel put out a trailer showing off the new Force of Law Warbond, and it includes a brand-new Guard Dog equipped with lightning weaponry. The Ax/Arc-3 "Guard Dog" K-9 appears to be a floating autonomous Arc-12 Blitzer, a lightning shotgun with limited range and moderate damage, but a wide spread and the ability to slow oncoming enemies. Arc weapons have an unfortunate tendency to fry your teammates as well, and the Guard Dogs are notoriously unpredictable in where they aim.

Helldivers 2 Theory Reveals Super Earth Will Travel Through the Worm Hole Next, Enter the Illuminate Sector
Image
The squids thought they could just waltz back home through their fancy wormhole after nearly turning Super Earth into cosmic rubble. Apparently, someone forgot to tell them that managed democracy doesn’t forgive, and it certainly doesn’t forget.

A cryptic message buried in the latest Strohmann News broadcast has the Helldivers 2 community filled with theories about what High Command might be planning next. The implications are delicious, and they involve giving those liberty-hating calamari a taste of their own medicine.

High Command’s cryptic wormhole authorization sparks revenge theories

The devil lives in the details, and this particular devil in Helldivers 2 comes with authorization codes and probe missions.

During the latest Strohmann News celebration of Super Earth’s “glorious victory,” eagle-eyed viewers, like content creator thededicatedartist, caught a partially cut-off message on the news ticker: “Ministry of Science to send probe through wormhole. Helldivers 2 Players Have a Simple Suggestion for Better Major Orders
Image
It’s no secret that many Helldivers 2 players ignore the Major Orders just because they don’t like to fight the faction that the Major Order requires them to fight. Recently, the Illuminate reached the surface of Super Earth and caused massive destruction in various megacities. The battle was intense, but Helldivers emerged as the heroes. The faction has now retreated, but this battle could’ve been a lot easier if all players focused on Illuminate missions instead of Automaton or Terminid missions.

A fan has come up with a solution, suggesting that Arrowhead Game Studios needs to change the rewards for completing Major Orders. In the end, just participating in a single battle will reward players with Medals, which is something that many players have been exploiting.

10 Worst Things Godzilla Has Ever Done
Image
Godzilla is the most versatile character in pop culture, and as Godzilla experts, we should know. By "versatile," we mean the Big G can be both good and bad, or serious and silly. Yeah, Batman can bounce between Adam West and Christopher Nolan/Christian Bale, but the former was a parody, and not a true representation of The Dark Knight. Sure, Superman has been a villain, but seeing the Big Blue Boy Scout break bad was meant for shock value. Godzilla has been both the heroic defender of the Earth, the evil villain bent on destruction, and the misunderstood monster who doubles as an anti-hero. Guess what? Each works. Why? Perhaps because the idea of a giant radioactive dinosaur is terrifying on a primal level -- and absolutely freaking awesome!

We're not discussing all the cool or good things Godzilla has done, though blowing his radioactive beam down a Muto's...

Operation Restore Democracy Feels Like the Helldivers’ Way of Thanking Arrowhead, and We’re All for It
Image
Sometimes the most beautiful acts of managed democracy happen when nobody’s watching from High Command. The Helldivers 2 community has launched something that would make Super Earth’s propaganda ministry weep tears of pure liberty—a grassroots movement to repair damage that never should have happened in the first place.

“Operation Restore Democracy” isn’t your typical gaming controversy. It’s what happens when a community realizes they’ve been a bit too harsh on developers who just delivered one of the most epic narrative moments in recent gaming memory.

The dust has barely settled from the recent 11-day defense of Super Earth, and Helldivers 2 players are already looking forward to what’s next. We never would’ve expected the Illuminate to invade Super Earth directly, but they did. And the question on our minds now is, if they could do it, then so can the bugs and bots.

Given the scale of the recent invasion, it’s unlikely that Arrowhead Game Studios has cooked up another large-scale event so early afterwards. It is a live service game after all, new content takes time, and now is the time to wait for what’s next.

Image

DeAPlaneta Teams With China’s Alpha Group To Relaunch Animated Polar Bear Character ‘Bernard’
Image
Barcelona-based DeAPlaneta Entertainment and Chinese licensing and merchandising company Alpha Group, which is also a producer of children and family content, have signed an agreement to jointly relaunch animated series Bernard globally.

The dialogue-free, animated TV series about a bumbling polar bear called Bernard, was first launched out of Spain in 2006 and went on to win fans at home and internationally, with the character known as Backkom in Asia.

DeAPlaneta Entertainment announced the partnership ahead of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival next week where the company will be out in force at the MIFA market.

The company acquired the Bernard IP in 2023 when it bought the catalogue of Madrid-based children’s content company Brb International, in a deal including broadcast rights and operating licences for a number of popular animated shows.

Prior to the deal, Alpha Group had acquired Chinese rights to the Bernard IP and produced three feature...

Dragon Ball Unearths Rare Goku Artwork for a Major 10-Year Anniversary Release
Image
Every week, The Akira Toriyama Archive spotlights rare artwork from the twilight years of the legendary Dragon Ball franchise. To close out May 2025, Dragon Ball's staffers rewound the clock to 2003 to feature a special, full-color Goku illustration created by Akira Toriyama.

On May 31, Dragon Ball's official site showcased the July 2003 edition of V-Jump -- the publication that now serializes Akira Toriyama and Toyotarou's Dragon Ball Super manga. Initially published on May 21, 2003, the issue was designed to commemorate the magazine's 10th Anniversary in addition to the release of the action fighting game, Dbz: Budokai, for PlayStation 2. As shown below, a beautifully shaded image of Goku's original Super Saiyan form adorns the front cover. According to the site description, the cover's announcement text also advertises an exclusive feature about Budokai, which kicked off what is now one of Dragon Ball's most successful video game series.

Helldivers 2 Is Getting Review-Bombed Again, the Reason Is Blatantly Undemocratic
Image
Here we go again. Helldivers 2 is drowning in negative Steam reviews, but this time the community has managed to find perhaps the most ridiculous reason yet to wage war against Arrowhead.

The latest review bombing campaign isn’t about corporate overreach or game-breaking nerfs. It’s about players throwing tantrums because reality didn’t match their expectations during the climactic battle for Super Earth.

Over 3,500 negative reviews flooded Steam in just two days, transforming recent ratings from positive to mixed faster than an Illuminate can vaporize a Helldiver.

When managed democracy meets unmanaged expectations

Helldivers 2‘s Heart of Democracy update brought the Illuminate invasion to Super Earth itself, forcing players to defend megacities in urban warfare scenarios. Two cities remained standing: Prosperity City and Equality-on-Sea, the latter corresponding roughly to China’s location.

Players rallied around Equality-on-Sea with immense particular fervor, with Chinese players being especially vocal about defending what they called ‘Shanghai.

Victory for Democracy! Prosperity City and Equality-On-Sea Hold Strong as Helldivers Push Illuminate Out of Super Earth
Image
Democracy prevails, as divers of Super Earth show who’s the boss after Helldivers push back the Illuminate. Helldiver 2 players have been battling against the Illuminate invasion for a long time, and all their efforts have proven that they are the most supreme in the galaxy.

It has been officially confirmed in the game that the Illuminate have retreated to the Super Earth battlespace, and formally marks divers’ victory. However, there has been a huge loss in doing so, and the damage has been immense. Still, that is expected out of wars, but for now, Super Earth stands to see a new day.

Helldivers 2 Illuminate invasion ends, but at what cost?

The Illuminate invasion is one of the biggest battles in Helldivers 2, and it was glorious. However, it wasn’t easy, as divers had to fend off powerful Fleshmobs, Harvesters, and more to protect their home planet. In doing so,...

“Well, sh*t”: Super Earth Is Falling, Helldivers 2 Players React to New Update
Image
Helldivers 2 recently unveiled a major update for all players and platforms, which culminated in a full-scale invasion of the Illuminate, who seem to be hell bent on burning Super Earth to the ground.

Things are not looking too good for our Helldivers, as the fall of a fourth Mega City seems to have triggered a Super Defense Protocol, which has, in turn, resulted in countless cutbacks to supplies and such. With such a sorry state of affairs, could Super Earth be fighting a losing battle?

Super Earth has triggered Super Defense Protocol Diamond

Regular Helldivers 2 players might have noticed a rather peculiar notice displayed during intense gameplay moments: Super Defense Protocol Diamond. As the name implies, this defense protocol is engaged in emergencies.

Helldivers 2 Fans Rally for Epic Tribute Honoring Seaf’s Valor in the Battle for Super Earth
Image
Helldivers 2 players, along with Npc Seaf forces, are currently fighting off the Illuminate threat on Super Earth. The fleet emerged out of the Meridian Singularity and has managed to reach Super Earth. That’s not all, the faction has managed to capture five out of seven megacities on Super Earth. Fans believe that the game needs to honor the Seaf forces properly, and the best way to do so is by adding this small detail to all players’ Super Destroyers.

With only two megacities under its belt, Super Earth could lose this battle against the Illuminate, but players are not holding back. The strength of the Illuminate fleet is less than 25%, making the battle quite intense because divers still have a chance to save the planet.

Helldivers 2: Demand for Major Orders to Give Super Credits Intensifies Amid Illuminate Invasion Campaign
Image
Completion of every Major Order in Helldivers 2 rewards players with Medals, which can be used to unlock Warbond content. Players believe this reward should be better if Arrowhead Game Studios wants players to focus on the Major Orders. Two Major Orders were released simultaneously recently, but most players decided to focus on the Dss-focused Major Order because more players enjoy the Automaton missions. Since the Illuminate Major Order was neglected, the faction could take over multiple megacities on Super Earth.

The Dss is active once again, but the Illuminate is taking over Super-Earth at an alarming rate. The loss of all seven megacities would mean the end of Super Earth. It will be a close battle, as Helldivers have managed to weaken the Illuminate Fleet significantly.

James Gunn Debunks 'Superman'' Runtime, Confirms Film Is Nearly Finished
Image
Update: After the runtime for Superman reportedly made its way online earlier this week, director James Gunn addressed the claim. On Threads, Gunn responded to a fan who asked if the upcoming Dcu film was indeed two hours and two minutes, making it among the shortest films featuring the Kryptonian. Gunn not only debunked the reported runtime, but revealed that the film is nearly finished with post-production.

"That's not correct. It's almost totally locked - meaning we're just finishing a couple VFX shots over the weekend - but that's not the running time."

Super Samples on Super Earth: Where to Find Them in Helldivers 2
Image
While playing Helldivers 2, players will encounter various types of Samples that can be used to upgrade the Helldiver’s Ship Modules. The basic classification of these samples is simple: Common, Rare, and Super. Common and Rare are easy to acquire, but Super is relatively difficult to find because it is usually found on Extreme difficulty or higher. With Super Earth under attack, many players have managed to find Super Samples, a.k.a. Super Uranium, on the home planet as well.

With so much chaos on the battlefield, players are struggling to find the exact location of Super Samples on Super Earth. There are only a few things that players just need to look out for, and they will quickly find the site where all Super Samples are placed.

Helldivers 2 Player Goes Medieval on Leviathans With ‘Trebuchet’ Stratagem
Image
The Helldivers 2‘s lore has taken a dark turn as the Illuminate has launched a terrifying attack on Super Earth. The Illuminate is coming for all seven megacities on Super Earth, and so far, the faction has managed to capture one, Eagleopolis. Now, three more megacities are simultaneously under attack: York Supreme, Port Mercy, and Equality-On-Sea. The strength of the Illuminate Fleet is less than 50%, but Helldivers must continue to give their 100% as the threat is still concerning.

Super Earth has released two Major Orders simultaneously, with one focusing on the eradication of Illuminate and the other focusing on farming scrap metal to bring the Dss back online. In such desperate times, players have used their creativity to combine two Stratagems to create one incredible weapon: The Trebuchet.

Helldivers 2 Heart of Democracy Update’s Greatest Gift Is the Seaf Forces, Not the Illuminate Super Earth Invasion
Image
You’d think a full-scale alien invasion of Super Earth would be enough to steal the show, right? Not in Helldivers 2. While the Illuminate are raining down havoc and rewriting the rules of war, players have found something even more worth protecting than democracy itself.

We’re talking about the blue-clad, brave-as-hell Seaf soldiers. These NPCs dropped into the battlefield like a surprise birthday gift from Arrowhead, and let’s just say… players are obsessed. Forget about them being cannon fodder, Seaf is family now.

Seaf Troops are here, and they’ve hijacked the Helldivers 2

Those who paid attention know that the Super Earth Armed Forces (Seaf) have been part of the Helldivers lore for a while, but the Heart of Democracy update on May 20 marks their first real in-game appearance. These are your classic grunts: disciplined, loyal, and decked out in signature blue gear.

But their arrival alongside helldivers...

Rob Zombie
Did You Know Rob Zombie Was Almost Cast in Robert Rodriguez’s ‘Sin City’?
Rob Zombie
Rob Zombie was nearly one of the sordid characters running amok in Robert Rodriguez‘s Sin City.

The filmmaker/musician shared the anecdote on Instagram with photos from Spike TV’s 2006 Scream Awards, where The Devil’s Rejects took home the award for Best Horror Movie.

“Robert asked me to play a role in Sin City but I was shooting The Devil’s Rejects at the time and had to decline,” he writes.

It’s unknown what part Zombie would have played — perhaps a Swat team member alongside (or in place of) Rodriguez himself — but it likely would have been a cameo given his busy schedule and inexperience in front of the camera.

Zombie made his big screen debut in Airheads, although he merely played himself as the frontman of White Zombie. He later took on the uncredited role of Dr. Wolfenstein’s assistant in his directorial debut, House of 1000 Corpses.

Helldivers 2 Players Want To Defend Seaf Soldiers With Their Lives
Image
The Second Galactic War has come home to Super Earth, and Helldivers 2 players are growing quite fond of their new battlefield comrades, the Seaf troops. The Illuminate invasion of Super Earth has begun the most dire story arc in the game's history, but it's also brought some wonderful new content, including Super Earth Armed Forces NPCs that fight alongside the Helldivers in the streets of Super Earth's mega cities.

Squadrons of Seaf soldiers are giving their lives to hold off the squids, and players are voraciously trying to protect them. Over on Reddit, r/Helldivers is very active with players sharing their admiration for Seaf. The blue-clad units are the main infantry force of Super Earth, and hadn't been seen in-game prior to the Heart of Democracy update. Players are now desperate to keep them alive; Reddit user Tr1kar even posted about using their Stim Pistol on injured Seaf soldiers,...

Inside NBCUniversal’s Epic Theme Park Kick Off With Steven Spielberg, Stars and Plenty of IP
Image
NBCUniversal lit up the skies above Orlando on Wednesday with fireworks, flames, water, and drones, in what it called (in understated fashion) a “celebratory moment” for the grand opening of its newest multi-billion dollar bet: Epic Universe.

But first, it had to trot out Steven Spielberg.

The visionary director was not in attendance (though his voice did boom through the park), but as a “good friend and creative consultant” to Universal’s experiences business, to quote Universal Destinations and Experiences chairman and CEO Mark Woodbury, his presence was felt, particularly in the land based on the How to Train Your Dragon franchise, which is from Spielberg’s Dreamworks.

“In each of us, lies a desire to explore new worlds in search of adventures, joy, discovery and even to face our fears,” Spielberg’s voice said, as a Bellagio-esque fountain elegantly shot water high into the sky. “Through amazing stories and unforgettable characters,...

The Playground Cannon Might Just Be the Fastest Way to Take Down a Leviathan in Helldivers 2
Image
The war for democracy is now the war for Super Earth in Helldivers 2. With the new Heart of Democracy update, the Illuminate started its invasion of Super Earth. And much like the other enemy factions, the aliens have brought new enemy types like the Leviathan.

Helldiver forces have immediately faced trouble going up against the Leviathans. Rest assured, traditional methods like recoilless rifles and anti-tank emplacements can eventually bring them down. But they require precise aiming, coordination, and time. Luckily for the forces of Super Earth, some players have discovered a much faster (and flashier) alternative.

Helldivers 2 players always find the most creative solutions

First introduced in the new Heart of Democracy update, Leviathans are some of the toughest enemies we’ve ever seen in Helldivers 2. Armed with eight laser cannons and protected by tank-grade armor, these floating death machines appear only on higher difficulty levels. You’ll also find...

This Reprimand Smg Build Mows Down Enemies and Upholds Democracy With Ease in Helldivers 2
Image
When High Command issues you a weapon called the “Reprimand,” they’re not being subtle about its purpose. This Truth Enforcers warbond gem has always packed a punch, but recent buffs from Helldivers 2 developer Arrowhead have transformed it from an unwieldy beast into a precision instrument of managed democracy.

The Reprimand stands alone as the only Smg capable of penetrating medium armor, making it uniquely qualified to handle everything from Automaton Devastators to those pesky Illuminate Overseers currently making themselves at home on Super Earth’s pristine streets.

And with the right attachments, this liberty-dispensing machine of destruction becomes outright unstoppable.

Building the perfect Reprimand for spreading democracy

The Reprimand’s recent buff in Helldivers 2—courtesy of the same patch that brought us weapon customization itself—slashed its spread from a whopping 40 down to a mere 5, transforming it from a spray-and-pray liability into a laser-focused freedom distributor. When fully upgraded...

Space Marine 2 Needs a ‘Holy Terra’ Update Like Helldivers 2’s Heart of Democracy
Image
Helldivers 2 has reinvented itself with the new Heart of Democracy update, and nothing brings back players like a good, old-fashioned update. But the reason why players are returning is that the enemies are invading the home planet of the Helldivers. So if that’s what it takes to bring back players, then why should it not work for Space Marine 2?

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has continued to have a steady player base since its release, but it has far more modest player engagement. The difference isn’t enough to panic or anything, but just imagine if it got an update like Helldivers 2. What if we had to defend Terra from a Tyranid invasion, or from the forces of Chaos?

Space Marine 2 needs to copy the newest Helldivers 2 update

Helldivers 2’s Heart of Democracy update worked not just because it introduced new enemies or gameplay mechanics—it worked because it raised the stakes.
