Synopsis

  • The movie depicts about the multi-dimensional problems of a modern aged typical Bangladeshi female named Ruba Haque who becomes victim of her in-law's tyranny who didn't let her stay in their house by taking chance of her husband being in prison.She comes back to her mother's house but cannot take her mother's relationship with her ex-boyfriend due to the social and religious teachings she received right from her childhood.She leaves from there and falls into stern realities of male dominated society where she discovers every male of the society tempts for a woman.However,she manages things by her intelligence and by Tapu's heartily assistance who used to be her playmate in childhood.Tapu manages to rent her a house but never expects her to give him the return by any type of physical involvement.Soon,Ruba finds herself gradually drawn to Tapu and she again falls into the dilemma whom to choose,either Tapu or her Husband?Her husband tries to be authoritarian but fails with success and agree with her request for separation.However,he requests if he can stay with her not as a husband but as a friend and wins her agreement.The three people heads for Coxsbazar for having a vacation and the film comes to the end.A very bright movie against social and religious taboos,difficulties faced by a female and complex problems of human nature in a restricted society!A must watch movie!
