It’s time to slime!

The 2023 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards are back and better than ever. Hosted by Nate Burleson, co-host of “CBS Mornings” and CBS Sports analyst, and digital superstar Charli D’Amelio, the wackiest awards show of them packed on the star power, and of course, the slime.

For the first time ever, the KCAs took place live from the Microsoft Theater — simulcast across Nickelodeon, TeenNick, Nicktoons, the Nick Jr. channel, TVLand, CMT and MTV2 — celebrating fan-favourite stars from television, movies, sports, music and more. This year’s show also featured extreme logic-defying stunts, wild celebrity collaborations and games, magical illusions and tricks, interactive moments within the Nickverse and epic slimings.

Wednesday and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 were among the winners at the 2023 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, which were handed out Saturday night at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Wednesday was named favorite family TV show, with star Jenna Ortega taking the “orange blimp” trophy for favorite female TV star in a family show. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 won the award for favorite movie.

Taylor Swift was named favorite female artist and also won favorite album for Midnights (3am Edition). Her cat, Olivia Benson Swift, was named favorite celebrity pet. Harry Styles won favorite male artist, favorite global music star and favorite song for “As It Was.” BTS was named favorite music group. Winners are voted on by fans.

Also during the show, Adam Sandler was honored with the King of Comedy Silver Blimp, while Optimus Prime of the Transformers franchise was given a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 was named Favorite Movie at the 2023 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards tonight. Other big winners include Wednesday as Favorite Family TV Show, and its star Jenna Ortega as Favorite Female TV Star (Family), along with kid-fave SpongeBob Squarepants as Favorite Animated Show and Stranger Things alum Millie Brown Brown, who scored the Favorite Movie Actress award for Enola Holmes, and Enola Holmes 2. Exclusive: Nickelodeon has unveiled the nominees and hosts for its 2023 Kids’ Choice Awards. CBS Mornings co-host and CBS Sports Analyst Nate Burleson and social media star Charli D’Amelio, who also is nominated in the Favorite Female Creator category, will share hosting duties for the slime show covering film, television, music, sports and more, The news was revealed today on CBS Mornings. The awards show will air live on Saturday, March 4 at 7 pm Et/Pt from L.A.’s Microsoft Theater.

“Hosting NFL Slimetime is always a blast, and I can’t wait to bring that same energy and slime as co-host of the iconic Kids’ Choice Awards!,” said Burleson. “I grew up on Nickelodeon and my kids still love watching, so we’re all ready for the stunts, surprises and superstars that await us at this year’s show.”

Meanwhile, Stranger Things leads the nominees with a total of six mentions.

This year, the awards show, which will air live March 4 at 7 p.m. Et/Pt, has a new venue: the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The Kids’ Choice Awards, with its signature sliming of winners and celebrities, honor fan favorites across film, television, music, sports and more.
