Airing its final episode in January 2022, The Expanse looked to be burning toward a bright new future but, one year later, the Rocinante's glorious comeback has been as cold and silent as the vast reaches of space itself. The Expanse had already averted disaster once before. Originally airing on the Syfy channel, the live-action adaptation of James S.A. Corey's book series ran for three seasons between 2015 and 2018 before facing the cruel guillotine of cable cancelation. Jeff Bezos quickly stepped in, stumping up the cash for an additional three seasons that ran between 2019 and 2022 before the Rocinante's flight plan was thwarted once again.

The Expanse just wrapped up its six-season run, which spanned two networks (or technically one cable channel and one streaming platform) and covered the first six books of the nine-novel source material. While The Expanse left many narrative threads up in the air—most obviously, the mystery of Laconia and its strange dogs, as well as the larger Protomolecule vs. Ring Entities plot—the final, six-episode season did a fantastic job of wrapping up the emotional and political plot beats that have defined so much of this phenomenal series. Let’s break down how The Expanse brought its story to a satisfying end in “Babylon’s Ashes.”

X Files and Millennium writer-producer Frank Spotnitz is to unveil his new BBC suspense thriller Hunted at this weekend's McM London Comic Con.

Spotnitz and cast members will host a panel at 3pm on Friday, October 26.

Set in the world of international espionage, Hunted is produced by Kudos Film for BBC One and HBO's Cinemax channel.

At the heart of the eight-part drama is Sam, played by Melissa George (above; Triangle, Grey's Anatomy, Alias, In Treatment) - a highly-skilled operative for an elite private intelligence firm who survives an attempt on her life that may have been orchestrated by members of her own team.

Once she returns to the firm, she performs her secretive duties without knowing who to trust and who wants her dead.

August will be an exciting month for fans of British TV as Acorn Media are set to release the critically acclaimed BBC Two production of The Sinking of the Laconia. The drama is based upon real events that occurred during World War II when a German U-boat torpedoed a British ship that was transporting civilians and Italian POWs off the coast of Africa. Having initially mistaken the Laconia for a military vessel, the commander of the U-boat was mortified to discover that he had in fact sunk a civilian boat. Breaking with orders from high command, the German commander began orchestrating a massive rescue operation designed to get the survivors to the relative safety of the West African shoreline. Global, a Canadian TV network, announced that Academy Award nominated actress Meg Tilly (Agnes of God, The Big Chill) will lead the cast of the upcoming Canadian TV series Bomb Girls.

The TV series will be in production in Toronto from September 12 to November 16. The premiere will be in January 2012.

Bomb Girls' story is set in Toronto in the 1940s, which means during the Second World War (1939-1945).

We follow a group of women who worked in a munition factory. Tilly plays, a supervisor at the munitions factory with two sons on the front; Jodi Balfour (The Sinking of the Laconia) as Gladys, a wealthy socialite who becomes a bomb girl despite her parents’ disapproval; Charlotte Hegele (Murdoch Mysteries) as Kate, a preacher’s daughter with a golden voice who’s running from her fundamentalist father; Ali Liebert (Hellcats) as Betty, a fast-talking girl from the Prairies responsible for...

In the U.K., "The Killing" is apparently more popular than "Glee" and some other successful American TV shows. The Danish crime series, which has been adapted into an American version, nabbed the international award at the 2011 British Academy International Television Awards which was held on Sunday night, May 22.

"The Killing" was nominated in the category along with "Mad Men" and "Boardwalk Empire" in addition to musical drama "Glee". The show, which has original title "Forbrydelsen", was voted the best international shows to air in the U.K., after being acquired by BBC digital channel BBC Four.

Taking the Leading Actor award was Daniel Rigby for his role in "Eric and Ernie". The best Leading Actress title meanwhile went to Vicky McClure of "This Is England '86". The best Supporting Actor and Actress were Martin Freeman of "Sherlock" and Lauren Socha of "Misfits" respectively.

Two of the top PBS entries in the movie/mini race at the Emmy Awards -- "Sherlock" and "Any Human Heart" -- won BAFTAs on Sunday.
