I have no idea why this has such low reviews. Well actually, I can guess. Some people are offended by the mere existence of a kid who has two dads. Don't be worried - there is no overt "agenda." This show is literally about kiddos who learn to deal with real-life things. Giving presents, eating spaghetti, going potty, and being patient. Braving swim lessons, trying on new shoes, going to the dentist, getting a hair cut, and dealing with disappointment. The songs are wonderful (I often get them stuck in my head). No joke, my 3yo learned how to twirl spaghetti after watching the food adventure episode just once! I'm really impressed and it's fun to see the Cocomelon gang age up with our kids.
The original Cocomelon (which I never watched) was incredibly hated by people that when Cocomelon Lane came out I KNEW I had to watch and review it. And I couldn't make it through the first few episodes because the songs are annoying and everything else is boring. The parents in the show feel more like props than setups, there are too many bright colors, and there is not a single character in the show. "HEY YOU! IT'S A SHOW FOR BABIES! OF COURSE THE CHARACTERS ARE GONNA BE ANNOYING. THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE GOOD EXAMPLES FOR LITTLE KIDS" I don't not care. An annoying person is an annoying person, no matter who the show is for. In conclusion, if you have kids, I guess you can let them watch it, but there are much better shows out there.
Both my 1 and 3 year old love this reimagining of the Cocomelon videos we started on YouTube with. The show has a ton of diversity, catchy songs, and teaches kids about emotions they may start to feel or experience in their early and late toddler years (frustration, overwhelm, disappointment).
It's got a great song to talk ratio, and the kids love it.
Each "episode" is around 30 minutes but includes 3 episodes within that. There is way better animation than the original in my opinion, and the themes are relatable and familiar. There is an "imagination" section with lots of color and fun at the beginning of every episode too, which my oldest really looks forward to every time!

Cocomelon Lane is a huge improvement over the other series by the studio "Cocomelon". Don't mistake the two. Cocomelon Lane is a solid TV show for young kids comparable to other staples like elmo, super simple songs, meowmi family show, etc.
The language is simple. The lessons are not questionable. In my opinion it is very good programming for kids aged 2 and up. There is a lot they can learn.
It keeps my daughters attention without making me feel like my daughter is watching garbage. I feel I have to keep making the distinction between Cocomelon Lane, and Cocomelon the tv series. Because Cocomelon Lane is good, and Cocomelon is just awful.

My 4-month-old likes all the colors and songs from this show when she hangs out on her mat or in her bouncy chair. I didn't like the original Cocomelon because it was way too repetitive with the songs and the lyrics were poorly constructed lost so the time, but this was so much better. Catchy songs, but the show isn't just music. The kids learn new things and have new experiences each episode. The songs are different depending on the episode's content and it highlights the fun of imagination and creativity, showcases diversity and representation, and the acknowledgement and importance of different emotions and how to manage them.
