Boy Kills World earned a Fresh 64% score on Rotten Tomatoes. This marks star Famke Janssen's third Fresh score since a long Rotten streak began in 2009. Janssen's future Fresh prospects lie more in upcoming TV projects than in movies.
Boy Kills World is helping to reverse a dismal Rotten Tomatoes trend for one of its stars. The action-comedy movie follows the title character Boy (Bill Skarsgrd) as he enacts bloody revenge on the people who killed his family in a violent post-apocalyptic future. The ensemble cast of the movie also includes Happy Death Day's Jessica Rothe, Downton Abbey's Michelle Dockery, X-Men's Famke Janssen, District 9's Sharlto Copley, Stranger Things' Brett Gelman, Old Spice commercial star Isaiah Mustafa, and the voice of Bob's Burgers' H. Jon Benjamin.
Rotten Tomatoes has calculated an official critic score for the movie during the weekend of the Boy Kills World release.

When Steven Soderbergh set out to make Mosaic—a murder mystery surrounding a magnetic, commanding and complex female character—he had in mind one particular actress who can expertly convey all those traits with barely a blink: Sharon Stone. And in playing the doomed Olivia Lake, Stone enthusiastically dug deep into a character that was “messy and flawed and vulnerable and warts and all.” Which is not surprising, given Stone’s penchant for authenticity as her career has progressed, and her refusal to cave to the stereotypical roles on offer for older women.
This role was essentially written for you. What were the conversations between you, Soderbergh and the writer Ed Solomon like beforehand?
Well, I didn’t know a lot about it in advance. Steven called me and told me that it was a big piece, that we would each just get our own section—the script is 500 pages...

Uma Thurman is headlining Chambers, a Netflix TV series that will manifest as a 10-episode hourlong offering with supernatural themes.
Netflix gave the project a straight-to-series order back in January 2018. It is the creation of writer Leah Rachel, an actress who's been juggling creative duties, having written for the 2012 TV series, Audrey, and directed a few short films. Rachel will serve as co-showrunner with Akela Cooper, who wields more experience in that department, having written and produced shows such as Luke Cage, American Horror Story, The 100 and Grimm.
Chambers will depict the story of a young heart attack survivor whose life was saved by a heart transplant. However, she starts to raise crucial questions about her new heart, eventually learning the terrible truth about the donor’s death. Eventually, things take a supernatural turn for the...

To see Sharon Stone in a movie these days is to be reminded of how much you’ve missed her since the last one. Her star quality is particular: a cool, crackling, slightly ribald confidence in her own charisma that hasn’t been especially well-tended, much less replicated, by Hollywood in the last 20-odd years. There’s no missing Stone in the course of “All I Wish,” at least, as she jacks up and soups up every last scene of Susan Walter’s devoted but beigely anodyne star vehicle, playing a feckless fashionista whose lifelong aversion to commitment hits a handsome stumbling block as she approaches the big five-oh. Skipping between the character’s variously shambolic birthday celebrations over the course of six years, this agreeable exercise in romancing the Stone hasn’t quite the teeth or the twinkle to match its inexhaustibly game leading lady.

Decent romantic comedies, especially ones featuring middle-aged protagonists, are so few and far between that it makes the mediocrity of writer-director Susan Walter's effort all the more regrettable. Only the luminous presence of Sharon Stone, delivering one of the most charming performances of her career, manages to rescue the otherwise hopelessly awkward proceedings that make you wish that All I Wish had been better.
Stone was 59 years old when the film was shot, but she's still vibrant and sexy enough not only to make her character's age of 46 be convincing, but also to pull off a lengthy sequence...

Interspersed throughout Susan Walter’s “All I Wish” are a series of wildly jarring, totally inexplicable straight-to-camera monologues from the film’s various characters. One moment Sharon Stone’s Senna is flirting with Tony Goldwyn’s Adam, the next Ellen Burstyn is sitting in front of a black background talking about how every woman wishes for “better boobs.” These interstitials are demonstrative of an insecure filmmaker; rather than allow the film’s narrative to speak for itself, Walter has her characters simply state their feelings, philosophies, and theses.

The cast includes Tony Goldwyn, Famke Janssen, Ellen Burstyn, Gilles Marini, Liza Lapira, and Leonor Varela. 27 Dresses pairing of James Marsden and Malin Akerman have apparently signed onto star in Michael Engler's directing debut - the rom com A Little Something For Your Birthday. The former Overture and now Relativity project should begin lensing sometime this year with Steve Golin and Alix Madigan-Yorkin (whose had quite a year with Winter's Bone) producing. Again it's worth mentioning that our source has often been wrong about casting news so take this with a grain of salt. Gist: Scripted by Susan Walter, this is about a clothing designer (Akerman) who struggles to find love and success after turning thirty. Worth Noting: This was listed (4 votes) on 2008's Black List. Do We Care?: Our interest would normally not budge with the current logline and the attached stars, but we'll take a wait and see approach as we're fans of Black List mentioned projects and like the output from prod co.
