The issues raised in this series are very relevant to people's lives today, ranging from viruses, bribery, extortion, to power struggles. This film is also wrapped with local wisdom and presents dialogues that are dominated by Javanese. Although the trailer is not promising enough, the storyline of 'Hitam' is very fun to follow and a must watch for movie lovers, especially those who like zombie themes.

Solidified Indonesian 'zombie' miniseries which seemed derivative but Sidharta Tata found its own way to be authentic with strong sociocultural arguments and political rigidities.

Newcomer Sara Fajira managed to work steadily with seasoned actors to keep us absorbed.

Donny Damara was crazily good as expected.

This is rare series in Indonesia, you know the storyline always about love but this!!! First Indonesian Zombie Series, this is what we waited for a long time. Out of the box, I love the atmosphere and the horror things. This was unpredictable and kinda related to Indonesian when it comes to conspiracy. Don't expect much just enjoy the ride.
