Asal

Good Movie. Ajith Kumar and everybody acted very well in the movie but this was not the best of Ajith Kumar. Fight scenes were good in the movie. Songs and BGM in the movie were so good. The movie has interesting twists and turns. The movie was not so interesting. The movie lagged so much which made the movie somewhat boring. The movie has some illogical scenes. The movie was not excellent. Good Movie.

Asal--->Thala the power of silence

After Long Gap..... AjithKumar name in the title slides misses the title of "Ultimate Star" This film has very Stylish customes similar to James Bond 007 series. I think Ajith tried to retain his multiple roles starring which were all turned into Blockbusters. This film is similar and added to that list. First half is amazing.... Second half is OK.. Ajith fans are enjoying this films because it has real entertainment what they expected from AjithKumar... Ajith both as son and father are amazing... Saran has missed to find some flaws in the films.. Thala fans joint hands to see real Thala in this film.At last the clear review about the movie "Old Story but Looks of Ajith and Camer make this film a treat to Tamil Cinema"

Asal another Flop

Asal a crap movie another flop for ajithkumar,A big fan can say this film is hit, but if you are professional in analyzing of the fact, that you certainly say that ajith has bagged a flop. Story: Asal is a story of feud between three brothers over property; two brothers (Sampath Kumar and Rajeev Krishna) on one side with their avarice for all the wealth with the righteous third trying to stop the family from breaking down. No marks for guessing who is the righteous one, who else but Ajith Kumar?! The feud that exists as an undercurrent in the presence of their father (Ajith again) turns ugly and personal after he passes away. It grows bigger with the two brothers joining in to elbow out Ajith. He graciously steps aside, only wanting to keep cordial relations. But, the two brothers are just not able to handle the huge wealth and the responsibility that it brings. Their wealth attracts trouble and it is up to Ajith to come back and save his brothers. Do things end there or does the feud continue, does wealth disintegrate the family and how does Ajith conquer all the odds? Watch Asal to find out.

Verdict: This Asal will gain no great interest

worst

Ajith wasted the movie with dull face and inappropriate make up...previous films gained somethings..but this time he fails to deliver the good product...movie lacks with many flaws and loop holes..music and background is not good..worst movie in saran's history..they have aimed for a stylish movie but film looks so dull in both the half...Bhavana is the real relief in the movie...she comes with cute charming face and steal the heart...first half OK..second half poor screenplay...sorry Ajith sir...one more flop to you...please choose the good scripts...

verdict-dull show by Ajith and saran

Please don't watch it!

Saran pandered to Ajith's image and the results are obvious. The songs hinder the screenplay and the situations are brainless with guns, fist and fury. There's even a fight sequence where Ajith simply breaks down steel doors with his bare hands. Numerous "thala" dialogues pepper the proceedings.

To conclude, die-hard Ajith fans will have plenty of reasons to rejoice. For the others, leave your brains at home.

Ajith Ajith Ajith

This movie Asal is all about Ajith, his stylish outfits and his cool attitude. Story is not so impressive but Ajith really impresses us with his silent yet powerful show. Its not new to Tamil cinema for having such storyline and could have been more better when it comes to music. Ajith has finally set a benchmark to his colleagues by not using any special tag-line as "Ultimate star", need extra applause for such a brilliant initiative. The screenplay is really good at times and adds more thrills and suspense to the content. Cinematography is top notch and so does stunt choreography. To wrap up Asal is worth watch and a real entertainer.

Asal impresses a lot but fails to re create the magic of billa

The much awaited asal finally hits the screen and with that expectation i went for that movie. First of all, hats off to saran and his team for their brilliant effort to create one of the most stylish film ever made in India. But, may be in the process, they have failed to concentrate much on story as well as music and these factors put asal on the back foot..

Ajith aka "THALA" is the major plus , may be the only plus in the movie and he lives up to the expectation... It has been evident that here after only he alone , apart from Superstar, can be considered for these kind of stylish movies to be made in Tamil.. The "Thala" factor takes the movie to another level... The same movie would have been a total crap, if it had been acted by anyone else other than Ajith... That tells you how much the movie needs him...

Asal basically lacks good story and better music which are basic parameters for any south Indian movies.. I have no idea why there are three people (saran, yugi sethu, ajith ) for story and screenplay, since i have to search for the story anywhere in the movie.. And music is horrible.. It seems saran has urged bharadwaj to compose the music while he was on his way to restroom.. Bharadwaj's asal(real) magic was missing and the worst part was stealing Bond movies theme for background score...

Sameera and bhavana are best fit for their roles but bhavana looks much younger than Ajith, which makes their on screen chemistry miserable. Sameera was also wasted in the movie...Yugi sethu tried some comedy and succeeded but the real comedian was prabhu...As usual there are some 1980's villain, except Kelly Dorji (shetty), who stands out among other baddies...

The movie would have been lot better, if saran skipped all the songs... Among technicians, Prashanth D. Misale rocks as a cinematographer.. Especially the opening scene, where the aerial beauty of Paris mesmerizes all the viewers... Through out the movie, cinematography has taken another dimension and adds style content of the movie... Stunts are short and smart not like other Tamil movies with blood shed... But they should have avoided one particular scene which they copied from a Korean movie "a bittersweet life"...

It is not a rule that stylish movies must not have a story in it.... Saran must understand this... Asal certainly impresses movie goers around the city... But it will no way create any impact on you... Only Ajith can save the movie from now on....

Thairiyam vettai better

Ajith kumars style and charisma in asal is coming o nothing of m g raajavels in thairyam vettai. Blud carried the whole movie in thariyam vettai unlike Ajith Kumar who other than his style has totally wasted the movie . If charan had casted mg raajavel in the place of Ajith Kumar it would hav been a blast . The chemistry between m g raajavel and sameera reddy would have worked perfectly . The thala pola varuma phrase would fit mamsa naayagan more than thala. . If I were to direct a film I d remake asal with mamsa naayagan. Dinesh would likely be casted the character of bhavana and ilayathilagam prabhu...
